Do you think pinnacle is having financial problems or processor problems?

I highly doubt that this is anything other than a massive backlog in processing the payouts.

TTinCO and the rest of the RX, thanks for the assistance. It just so happened that after you talked to pinny on my behalf I received a fedex check next day delivery. Seems strange that after 3 weeks of nothing happening and my money being "at the bank" and no longer in control of Pinnacle, that the day after you talked to them I had my check.

thanks again

Great to hear :toast:

Kind of new around here, but certainly not new to this industry. I hit a decent a pre-playoff future on the Colts at Pinny for a couple K, and have spent this week trying to pull the money out.

They stated in an email to me today that it would take 7-11 days for a bankwire rather than the usual 3-5 days. I am probably going to ask to do a book to book transfer instead if they can do it quicker as I am not in dire need of the funds. I'll make sure to post how things turn out.

I am certainly not paranoid that Pinnacle is going to take my meager score and run, but I'd like to get back to my vice ASAP. I must say though, they have been very responsive to my emails, at least today.

A B2B transfer is probably your quickest way out right now.

I don't know if the offer is still valid, but at one time Wsex was offering a 20% bonus on transfers from Pinny. Worth a phone call to see if the offer is still valid. :toast:

Pinnacle has a warning on their site if you go to try to request a Check payout:

Unfortunately, due to the large volume of transactions processed for our thousands of exiting US clients, check requests have been delayed longer than originally anticipated. You may still request a check, however, please be advised it may be as long as two weeks before it's sent. Instead, we recommend you request a bank wire as there are no delays in processing wires. The information required to have a bank wire sent to you is available from your banking institution.

It has been said a million times, but I will say it again, this has nothing to do with pinnacle trying to screw anybody.....

their clearing houses and processers (especially for USA residents) are slammed and over-loaded. Books are given strict limits on how many they can process per day. PATIENCE is the key.

just remember, when you do a book to book, most books require at least a 1 time rollover before withdrawal....

they do not take too kindly to be used as substitute payment processors.

Two phone calls and a couple of emails got me virtually nowhere today. I can totally understand that transactions are taking longer than normal, but what I don't get is the inability of the CSR department to obtain information from their own accounting department. Either my wire is being processed already and can't be canceled, or they should be able to cancel it and allow me to do a book to book. I am trying to do whatever is easiest for THEM.

Again, I know I am going to be paid, but its just frustrating right now. Not having any future leverage on these guys really blows.

are you waiting for an EFT or a paper check....

I empathize with how frustrating it must be.

I went with a bank wire because of the check back logs they have. Normally a wire would take 3-5 days, but they've been telling me 7-11 days. Not the end of the world, but since I'm just going to be moving the money back offshore anyways, I told them that if it was possible I'd instead just do a B2B with Matchbook.

They told me late last night that they would check with accounting to see if canceling the wire was still possible. That's where the lines of communication broke down with Pinnacle CSR's repeatedly telling me they are waiting for a response from accounting.

My biggest fear is that Tuesday will roll around (8 days since my initial request), and thats when they'll decide to reverse the wire, which will set me even further back timewise. I guess I should have expected this, Pinnacle was the greatest, but it certainly wasn't for their customer service department.

Pinnacle finally got the balling rolling on my book to book and it should be taken care of tomorrow. I just got off the phone with matchbook.com and asked them if they would have a problem with me withdrawing 1/3 of my transfer and leaving the other 2/3 in for play, and they said I could do that without any roll over. I'm sure they'd feel differently if I immediately tried to withdraw it all though.

I'd suggest that a B2B is probably the best option right now. Feel free to email me if you are tied up in the backlog or have any questions about your options.

FYI-I'm checking in about once daily through Mon PM....bear with me (but things are not moving that fast anyhow-they have a definite backlog).

Had my pending bank wire reversed by Pinny, requested a B2B with Matchbook.com and the funds are already in my account. Have already requested a cashout via Bank Check from Matchbook.com for 1/3 of the amount. Granted I'll have to wait a bit of time for my check from matchbook, but this really seems like the way to go especially if you are looking to keep the money offshore anyways.
