2004 (or 05) i believe. Miguel Tejada's walk off homer vs the Yankee's here in Oakland. Gave it to a kid sitting below a few rows below me who kept staring after i grabbed it.

Been to so many games and gotten so many foul, HR's and batting practice balls they all look the same. SCUFFED! lolol

Many stories on this subject. My son when he was 7 got 47 balls in one season. None a foul ball or batting practice, just worked the umps and players at the change of an inning.

My first ball was in right field in old County stadium on a home run by Johnny Briggs.

Another, although foul was a ball off Dale Sveum. On Wed. or Thurs. afternoon games we would take about 8-12 friends and work for tickets and sit with the field crew down the left field line along with our 3 gallon container of vodka/cranberry. Svuem hits a foul 4 rows behind us and I try but fail. One of my buds says ' take off those goofy glasses and you might have a chance'.

Next pitch one comes right at our group and I just stick my hand up in the crowd and it goes right in. Good times.

Reggie Jackson foul against the Tribe when I was approx 10yrs old--our dog thought it was a chew toy, destoyed it.

Pat Meares of the Twins in 1996--had Cal Ripken sign it when I met him, Used a regular pen instead of a sharpie, signature fade.

Derek Jeter foul this past season--neat thing about this ball is that it was a commorative Yankee Stadium ball used by MLB with the Yankee Stadium logo and years of the Stadium printed on the ball in red.

Caught my first one in Connie Mack Stadium off the bat of Don Money and the second one off of Richie Allen...my brother then proceeded to swipe them one day and use them in pick-up games on the sandlot...

I've been a Red Wing season ticket holder since 79'. 4 rows off the glass. I have at least 20 pucks here at the house and that's doesn't include the one's I've given to kids sitting near me at the time on occasion. Not to mention how many have bounced off my hands and caught by others around me. Had one bounce off my fingertips a week or so ago in fact.

Yes, a foul ball hit by Tino Martinez (when he played for the Rays) and then I had it signed by Rocco Baldelli

I ran down a foul ball in a race through the seats in an low attendance game Giants game at Candlestick Park in 1990. Been to tons of games at pac bell and still haven't, I did catch a bag of crackerjacks thrown by Giants mascot " Lou Seal" when I was at a game with Dsethi.

:):)

Have seen many of bases thrown back at both Pacbell and Candlestick when hit by Dodgers players!

I was sitting in a semi-packed area at TROPICANA FIELD(even with 1b) and caught TWO FOUL BALLS in a span of THREE PITCHES!!

Poster Patrick McIrish and Kyhawk were with me to verify this..............

I gave both balls to young toddler two rows in front of me.

FH

Last May in a day game vs NYY, SheBar and I were sitting about six rows up behind that left field "Corona picnic area" and I swear to cripes I told her, "this could be a good spot for a LH batter to slice a pop foul over here"

Just a couple pitches later, Iwamura RIPS a line shot (not a pop up) right at my face.

I stood up and confess I pussied out...I raised my hands, but did not try to catch it as it burned right between them and hit the seat two rows back and some other guy got it.

Back on Topic...YES...In 1979 I got a HR ball hit by Don Baylor of the Angels while sitting in the first row of left field bleachers in Arlington Stadium. Another line shot which I did not wimp out on...It hit my hands and fell to my feet where I scooped it up before my buddy could nab it.

yeah i caught one when jason schmidt was batting against woody williams in san francisco. was a foul ball, i was sitting 2nd deck right behind home plate, came hard at me and i caught it bare handed with my land hand, got a big cheer from the crowd. i was 18 at the time i believe. was a great moment.

p.s. i almost caught the barry bonds record breaking home run(756), was a few seats away. :(

A game the boys and I were at and had some people from Orlando up that wanted to see a Cubs game. They could not get tickets so decided to come to the new Miller Park and watch a game. My son got 3 balls that day and after several innings he decided to give the 2 kids from Orlando each a ball.

That family was stoked. They could not believe someone gave them something. To this day we exchange emails.
