I honestly don't even care. If it was just a few players, then I'd be pissed. The fact of the matter is a ton of the players in baseball were juicing.

100% dont care

SHOCKER...I agree with this guy ^

<><>

The majority of baseball players in any given season going back to at least the 1950s have been using one or more "performance enhancing" drugs, with the most common being amphetamines.

In other words, they do pretty much what the rest of Americans do when needing a boost in mental focus and attention. Amphetamines also in most cases deliver a modest increase in breathing capacity.

Totally agree. Baseball brought this on themselves by not giving a shit as long as Mark M. and Sammy S. were selling tickets. Now they try and make a big deal about it. Total bullshit.

When your kid is using steroids because "everybody is doing it," you'll care.

Doesn't mean every Cincinnati Bengals fan has to get arrested just because the team is doing it...

So let me get this right. A player gets drunk my kid will get drunk, a player snorts coke so my kid will snort coke. Come on man do you really believe that shit.

Two year old son!

I have three, including a 13 year old. Kids do what they see. They are social creatures, greatly influenced by peers and celebrity culture. If everyone in society just throws up their arms and says "Who cares anymore?" steroid use will increase. And as of right now, the dangers of usage from an early age on are only beginning to be discovered. That is why I care.

Don't really care.
Women stick needles in their face for enhancement.
Women don't like their small breasts, they go and get bigger ones.
Men take Viagra for enhancement.
Nothing wrong under a Doctor's supervision to make your muscles bigger and more enhanced.
Notice how it's mainly illegal in the US. Other countries it's perfectly legal.

dont care. people have been using enhancers in baseball since the late 1880's. pud galvin admitted he used monkey testosterone and he was mlb's first hall of famer if i remember.

thats why i laugh at these people who say ruth did it off beer and hot dogs. how gullible are they. the guy hit more HR's then multiple teams combined and he did it without taking a enhancer when they were taking them before 1900.

yea, right. ruth is just like the other frauds of the game.

the only guy im pretty confident that has been clean is griffey jr. because of all the time he's missed. if he was using it he'd miss half theamount of games he missed.

"ruth is just like the other frauds of the game."

Either you have evidence to show that this is true, or yet again
you are making totally fucking asinine statements on here, wasting
good oxygen as you breathe.

I would guess the latter.

Nonsense.

As it is now, few MLB can use banned substances without huge financial and career risk.

And speaking for my kids (now age 20 and 22) they have been well educated on both the risks and also the possible efficacy of using virtually every drug that might be available to them.

And thanks to that education, though they have tried this or that, neither have felt the need to try something with as high a health risk factor as steroids.

I'm hoping that you too have a relationship with your kids wherein they look to you for advice on these matters before they look at what some professional athlete may or may not be doing.

The question posed in the Topic I'm sure was directed at how we view current players who we learn may have used steroids in previous seasons.

Kids do what they see. They are social creatures, greatly influenced by peers and celebrity culture.

But they are more influenced by their parents.

That is, IF they view their relationship with their parents as being one of trust and confidence.

If your 13 year old has trust and confidence in you, then I believe you have little worry they will abandon your counsel and turn instead to some celebrity athlete with who they have no such relationship.

This is not the first time you've made this silly cite that "Pud Galvin was MLB's first HOF"

In fact, Galvin was not voted into the HOF until 1965 by the Veterans Committee.

1000 Major League Baseball players in a country of 300 000 000 is hardly "everybody"

Kids hear about the dangers of drugs all the time starting in second grade. They will make their own choices, regardless of what any adult says or does
