Why do half of the brightest minds in science and mathematics choose not to identify with a religion at all? On top of that, significantly less than that 50% claim to be fundamentalists...something like 10%...that includes other religions besides Christianity as well.

Why does practically everyone in a poor, rural, uneducated area identify themselves as being some sort of fundamentalist with practically no-one claiming atheism?

They don't match up perfectly, but there is definitely a link between people with above average intelligence and atheism.

What you see as being perfect and beautiful others see as being silly. I am glad you have found all the answers, but I am more glad that there are people out there not like you who aren't afraid to ask and seek the answers to difficult questions.

Excellent post. Numerous studies back this up.

I mentioned Michio Kaku earlier in this thread. Here he is in a fascinating talk about making contact with an alien civilization that is thousands or even millions of years ahead of us.

Time and space are pretty large unknowns. Here's a few questions of mine: Do people in the afterlife(spirits) wear clothes? Do spirits gamble and what do they use as tokens for payoffs? And can the two intermingle- like can we be here on this level of living and be winning or losing bets in the afterlife? Will our brain capacities be able to understand time and space in the afterlife? (if you believe in an afterlife). And lastly, do you think we have humanly urges like hunger and sexual longing in an afterlife ? That's it for now.
