What is pretty cut and dry is that Zimmerman is not an officer of the law. The 911 operator clearly stated to stay in his car, which he neglected to do. He wanted be a some tough guy and got his ass beat. He had years and and weight over this kid and still had to shoot him. Fuego I'm sure you would feel a lot differently if that was your child. A) True, not an officer of the law but fully entitled to carry a licensed firearm.
B) The 911 operator has zero authority over any of us.
C) Got his ass beat? Ok, but if he felt in danger of serious bodily harm or even death, he had the right to defend himself with lethal force.
D) He's was not the same weight then as he is now.
E) If it were my child, emotion would play a part in this case. That said, TM is not the child of the lawyers and the State of Florida doesn't care who's child he is.

It's a done deal Enfuego. Nothing anyone said on this thread meant a damned thing when all is said and done. Like I said on my first post on this thread it is up to a judge and a jury. Everyone can still have their opinons but they simply do not count when all is said and done. The fact that it even went to trial shows how divided this country is and how politics gets thrown around like a football anymore. Vit tried to make it about race (see the first post on this thread). He doesn't get it and he never will. Wash kind of took it to the personal level for whatever reasons. I hope no riots occur and that the people of Sanford can move on from it all. Same goes for everyone who posted in this thread.

I agree and I hold no ill will against these guys. It's a tragedy no matter what as a young black American lost his life and parents now do not have a child. Now, cool heads must prevail and respect the court's decision.

Righties want the facts to play out because a black man was killed. When a white man is killed or a dem is involved in a scandal you righties already have your minds made up and have concluded your own facts.

We know the necessary facts. Zimmerman is a wanna be cop who calls 911 everytime he gets a chance. FACT. Zimmerman was advised not to follow the victim. FACT. Zimmerman shot and killed an unarmed man. FACT. These facts draw a very easy conclusion. I don't need to see testimony from his father or anybody else to come to my own conclusion.

Zimmerman found "not guilty" on all counts. FACT.

surprised it took so long, maybe they didn't want to embarrass the prosecution, or maybe they just wanted one last free dinner on the state

the dismissed sheriff was 100% right, Zimmerman should have never been charged

even the prosecution knew they didn't prove their case, hence their last minute grasp at a manslaughter conviction
