NETeller is not done with online gambling. They are done with transferring money to online gambling sites for Americans. Non-Americans can still use NETeller to fund their gambling accounts.

EXACTLY CORRECT!

Please, everybody understand this completely.

If you are an American, like myself, Neteller is DONE since who uses them for any other purpose, correct?

And if anyone could confirm that you must now withdraw with a Netller Card, that would be greatly appreciated (if US resident)

There is a bit of good news. I now hold 7600 tickets for the $1000 Neteller drawing.

Neteller's site said you can withdraw anytime you want, and that the FASTEST way to withdraw is the Neteller card. It doesn't say that you CAN'T withdraw via check. You should have no problem requesting a check, if that's what you wanted to do.

You can't apply for a Neteller card as I have previously posted. The US is not a country option.

My post was in direct response to another poster's thread title that NETeller was done with online gambling. The clarification needs to be made, as there are PLENTY of non-American posters on this website.

Ok, I just got off with Live Chat. They gave me the same company line. EFT's will be processed in 2 weeks. If I wanted a Neteller card, they would cancel my EFT's but I would have send a utility bill as proof of my address. I have seen people post the 2 week EFT delay from the Neteller FAQ but when I go online it doesn't appear there. All Neteller has to say on the site in bold letters is that all EFT's will be processed back to US Banks in about 2 weeks. No confusing mumbo jumbo about a Neteller card when you can't apply for one if you don't already have it.

Neteller has handles this as poorly as possible. They needed to be up front with people at the beginning, and weren't. That's what pisses people off the most in my opinion.

Checks are going to take 6 to 8 weeks. That REALLY sucks for a company that is supposed to have liquidity.

Here's some more information. I had $5900 in Neteller. When I initially tried to request the whole $5900 EFT it was rejected. I then requested $5000 which was accepted then an hour later I requested $900. That was last night. Now I just logged on again. The $900 is now pending but the $5000 is still sitting there with cancel option. Why wouldn't they process the $5000 first as that is the first withdrawl I requested. I hope they both say pending at the end of the day. Now when they will finally get into my bank, that's another story.

I just wonder how many people took a shot with Neteller on Tuesday and deposited a crazy amount they couldn't cover in their checking account. There was nothing to lose except getting a collection letter.

For all intensive purposes, Neteller is done, they just locked out over 80% of their clients[being U.S. Gamblers]. And it's true, who else uses Neteller? They will be worthless come monday. Why else would you pay 8.9% on ANYTHING? It's sad they didn't try to stand up to the ever growing pressure from the U.S. but then again, no one got off their computer chairs and went to their congressman or senator and popped them squarely in the mouth with the heel of their shoe when this ludricous law was being passed.

R.I.P Neteller. You will be missed.

I'm suck that I didn't look into shorting the living shit out of Neteller's stock as soon as Pinny pulled out of U.S. operations. I'm a moron for not taking advantage of the Neteller Titanic that was inevitable.

Neteller has a large number of clients in other countries beside the USA. I think you will find that around 60% or so Neteller clients were US.

Neteller will do just fine with their remaining client base + they are picking up new customers from Asia.

I don't think there is any danger of Neteller stiffing anyone.

I wasn't assuming that they would stiff anyone, but the numbers are much higher that 60%. Even going with the 60% assumption...2/5th of their income wiped out in one swipe, that's devistating. As for picking up clients from Asia...that's sketchy at best. Alot of why Sportbooks are not targeting Asian markets is because the high number of credit card fraud in that region and the lack of cash the average person has for making bets VS a North American.
Also, the two points i was making was: the exact same energy that Neteller is going to have to use to keep their company alive could have been use to stick up for their U.S. Customers and U.S. Customers shot themselves because they did not get up and speak out on this when they had a chance.

Also, Question:
Other than the Sportbook/Poker market, and the other obvious transactions, what market does Neteller have? Not eBay or Yahoo Auction, so what is it used for that justifies a 8.9% fee?
