mudder your a jackass, and your the one talking about typical new york fans? WHat the hell does your stupidity and ignorance say about sox fans??

and to the person who was talking about wishing they could watch games in a real park, and instead they watch their games at arlington park, I got one word for you, metrodome. That is where I have to watch my team and there is not much worse.

Daughter just got back from Chicago, she went to a day Cubs game. She's seen the Rangers in Arlington. She said the entire process and 'feel' was completely different. Even the food. She said it felt like a real baseball game.

You want that experience? Go to a minor league game, fill 85% of the stands with people that have no idea whats going on, grow some ivy on the walls, drop a few bricks on people walking by the stadium, get everyone drunk, and make sure the place smells like a urinal. When the opposing team hits a HR (which there should be plenty when you are at Cubs game), taunt the guy that caught the HR and make sure he "throws it back!" or harrass him until the game is over. Once in a while, when it's probably least relevant, start a "Let's Go Cubbies!" chant. That's a Wrigley day and night game for you. Thank me later.

Wow To Think I Wanted To Go To Wrigley...cancel That Trip!!!!!!!

Don't get me wrong, on a perfect day (weather wise), it's a fun atmosphere to be in. But not the "ideal, perfect baseball atmosphere". The best term I've heard used to describe Wrigley is "Beer Garden". Some may call me a homer, but IMO, U.S. Cellular Field is just as fun if not more fun than Wrigley. The surroundings are not the same as you will have to go somewhere else to party after the game, but the stadium itself is amazing. the food is great, the entertainment is great, and it's become very fan friendly since 2003. And oh yeh, the home team is successful, so that kinda helps

Section 18, row 64, aisle seats 1 through 4.

coming from washington, D.C.

i'll be busing up there right after work...if tonight's game were to be scratched and they had a double header tomorrow I'd then have to go to the night game right?

Tomorrow's game is scheduled for 3:55.I don't think they will change the schedule around considering they can get a full gate. Besides the Red Sox come back May 21-23. They both have an off day the 24th.If it was a 1 visit team they might try what your suggesting.

Your on the third base side.Get there around @ 1:30 or @2:00m. that should give your group enough time to go through monument park.
I think they close it around 1 hr prior to the game.Enjoy

Tonight we'll be in section 24 row 8 by the left field foul pole....right where arod's going to take Dice K

Sounds bad.

Come to The Ballpark at Arlington. You will feel as though your balls were handled with sterile gloves and the fans around you will be reading Bukowski and working on their notebooks, and the pitching will suck total ass and the "fans", will not give a rat's ass, unless there is some kind of promo "pizza bullshit-give-away" if some player hits a home-run with their balls hanging out, with two outs in the 7th inning. ONLY then, will anyone give a shit. Or, if Nolan Ryan returns and pitches another no hitter. ~~~~~~~

SO, that Cubs game, as bad as it is, sounds even better. You have to understand = in the Dallas area, there is ONE team = the Dallas Cowboys. And, now, their fan base is about 97% Hispanic. Yep, watch a Boyz game when televised. Que?

The Mavs? Who gives a shit. They will have bought their way in with Mark Cuban and damn, it gets really, really old after a while.

I would like to go to Baltimore, Chicago, New York, Boston and get the 'feel' of a real baseball game = unless, by what you are telling me, THAT shit doesn't exist anymore. Is every town, every city, filled with assholes, now? Has it gotten as bad as I say it is? I only thought that was 'around here', you know, I'm cynical as hell. I still thought, maybe by looking at ESPN, that some cities still have real fans, real stadiums, the real baseball deal.

I am probably wrong = adding to my cynicism. Sorry to hear the Cubbies old stadium and brain-dead fans you describe, are not what I thought. My daughter said they had a great time at the game and she thought the fans were terrific. She had no problems, nothing but a good experience. ?

So, what is the truth here? Is it that bad, or are you just a homer-type fan who hates the Cubs. ?

I have no idea, that's why I mentioned it. I heard Baltimore was a great place to see baseball, but I'm beginning to think in my 50 years that I've seen the last (and best) that baseball has offered this country. Pete Rose, Yaz, those guys. I really do not give a shit anymore about most of these turds. A-Rod, My-Rod. Stick it.

Maybe you are right. I don't know. But, sadly, I really don't care anymore.

I really don't. People used to dress up and go to baseball games, now they look like a bunch of goons, shirtless toothless goobs, who just drink and don't know shit, and yell, and fight and are just, well, stupid. They fall from the 2nd balcony, run onto the field, get in fights, say YO and FU and all that crap. Can't even take the kids anymore without someone shouting some kinda cuss words, F-bombs, yelling, getting drunk, NO CLASS.

That is the very reason I don't go anymore. So, there.

Thanks for the input on the Cubs Stadium and game effect. I don't like urinal=smell and idiots, so I won't go = ever. Thanks for the heads-up.

I'll stay with the sterile Ballpark in Arlington, where nothing of importance will ever happen, and if it does, it won't last long.

HEY STEVIE HOW ARE YOU? ARE YOU DOING IN GOOD IN BASEBALL AS YOU DID IN COLLEGE HOOPS??? GRABBING TEXAS BOY PETITE VS THE OVER HYPED RED SOX IMPORT.BELIEVE ME THERE WON'T BE ANY LAID BACK FANS AT A YANKEE / RED SUCKS GAME. PROBABLY NO TACOS EITHER. IF SHE CAME HERE FOR ONE OF THESE GAMES SHE PROBABLY WOULD REMEMBER IT FOR A LONG TIME. USUALLY GOOD FOR A FEW BRAWLS TOO.:toast:

MET - How was the game last nite?

BTW, my daughter is a former DALLAS COWBOYS CHEERLEADER, so I got to see lots of Cowboy games, really just to see her. She did it to find out how it was, experience, etc. It isn't what you think, it is WORK. LOTS OF WORK.

Girls are nice looking, but tough as nails.

Kinda cool to get a perspective on the NFL cheerleader deal. She did tell me this = Jerry Jones is a cool MF! All of the organization loves Jerry and his son Stephen. They are really cool guys, tho most people would have NO idea. She loves him and he gave them a ride in his limo and took them all to lunch after a meet-and-greet at an event. She said he is mostly business-like, but likes to tell stupid jokes and loves hamburgers and talking about his kids, grandkids = and Arkansas.

Wild world, huh?

Hope I win some money tonight, damn, I need some whammy!!!!
