looks like Parks is in a tough spot. Bama backed off on Monday knowing both Ray and Mathis were signing and got the news from Parks that he wanted to sign for Auburn. this morning the barn got a surprise commit from a player they coveted for the same position, Markaviest Bryant, and ran out of scholarships to told Parks a minute before his press conference that he no longer had a committable offer. ouch!

Well, McElwain closed great and didn't totally shit the bed! Not a great class, but filled a lot of needs and got more 4-star talent than he previous 2 classes. I'll take it. This is "his" team now and he needs to produce an offense. His offenses have been ranked lower than Muschamp's offenses at UF, I didn't think that was possible!

Missouri: Washington State quality control assistant Brian Odom has joined the Missouri staff as outside linebackers coach. Odom is the brother of head coach Barry Odom. Brian Odom spent two years at WSU and previously worked in strength and conditioning at Houston and Arizona. He was a graduate assistant at Missouri in 2005. In addition, safeties coach Ryan Walters will now coach the entire defensive backfield.
Mississippi State: Former San Jose State defensive coordinator Ron English has been named safeties coach at Mississippi State. English spent one year at SJSU and was previously the head coach at Eastern Michigan. He was also defensive coordinator at Louisville and Michigan.
SEC: The league made $584.2 million in 2015-16 and distributed an average of $40.2 million to each school.
Florida: West Virginia running backs coach JaJuan Seider will join the Florida staff, according to the Charleston Gazette-Mail and multiple reports. Seider spent four years at WVU and previously worked at Marshall and as a WVU graduate assistant.
Mississippi State: Former San Jose State defensive coordinator Ron English has been named safeties coach at Mississippi State. English spent one year at SJSU and was previously the head coach at Eastern Michigan. He was also defensive coordinator at Louisville and Michigan.

LSU went just 1-4 against teams in last year’s S&P+ top 15, but the four losses were by a combined 23 points. The note on LSU is important to remember, as close game results are typically a 50/50 proposition and have a way of correcting themselves. If the Tigers can flip that script and go 4-1 in close games in 2017, LSU could be in for a fantastic season.

He loaded up on offense his first 2 classes and neglected the defense.....he needed to load up on defense. So no concern there. The concern is no 5-stars and no real "star" players. Solid players, w/ 14 4-stars, but only a couple have real "star" power (1 WR and 1 RB). Otherwise, a lot of ham-n-egger's.
Florida: South Florida defensive backs coach Corey Bell and North Texas offensive line coach Brad Davis have joined the Florida staff. Bell spent the last two years at FAU and had recently joined the USF staff, while Davis spent one year at North Texas.
UF loses a great DB coach, Torrian Gray, to the Redskins. He was only at UF one year.
