Dude, why don't you take your crap and post it in your own thread. I'm still looking for your selections posted somewhere but can't find anything other than you liked Whitmore and SBN so I guess you lost your ass too. You come in in this thread every year and spew your shit. If you don't like the info 11black posts then don't come into the thread. Most of us appreciate the work he does to give us info that helps us handicap the race. Who gives a fuck who he actually bet or how(other than you I guess, typical troll if you ask me).

Wabashwonders,

Thanks for the comments......................much appreciated....................

You are right on target with this ‘clown’, and that is saying it nicely. For years now all he does is continue to bash me and others in these threads...........that is why I will never respond to any of his comments..................once a jackass, always a jackass, I guess.....................again saying it nicely.

And a very good point you make, where are his selections....................................just seems like he has to ‘get off’ by bad-mouthing others.....................don’t remember this clown ever posting any selections ever.

I start this thread every year to try and provide info and maybe some help and to share with others, .........like yourself, all their opinions, selections etc...........that is what it is about.................and I truly appreciate all who contribute and share their thoughts etc.

Except for one jackass, who has never grown up..........(maybe he’s a 12 year old spoiled punk )............you guys and gals are the best.

Thanks again and let’s start talking about the Preakness soon...........

......................and for the clown, I will repeat your kind words..........." You come in in this thread every year and spew your shit. If you don't like the info 11black posts then don't come into the thread."

Looks like a decent size field shaping up for the Preakness. Would love to see a full field of 14 run.

Just browsing thru the PPs of the possible entries.........................and so far just don't see a main challenger to Nyquist...................looks like he may take this 2nd leg and head for a possible TC again.....................

Would be crazy, back to back TC champions........................think I'm back in the 70's.................

I lost but at least had the chance to win $$..the way this guy plats even if his picks come in he still loses. Horse racing is different then other sports betting and how you wager is paramount. Picking winners doesn't mean a thing if you don't play them right.

You don't know how he played his tickets, so you don't whether he won or lost. But what he plays is not what this thread is mainly about. It's about getting information so we can all use it to do our own handicapping. 11 does a great job of researching this stuff and while I agree some of it doesn't mean much, a lot of it does. You have nothing but trolled his threads the last few years putting him down because of how he bets. I believe that most guys who contribute and read this thread do their own handicapping and don't care what 11 actually bets. Why should that be so important to you? The thread is about gathering information, not what the person actually bet. That's his business, just like whatever you bet is your business.

To bet on horse racing is something special and it is very hard to come with predictions as the horse does not have a will like a human being, in fact they are only are trained animals

What an incredibly dumb post this is.

People like Tanner dont come in here to "spew shit". They come in here because they care about fellow gamblers and know that for something like horse racing there are a lot of amateurs who normally don't play horse racing that are coming to read Derby info and place bets. He cares about people understanding who might not know better how incredibly ill-advised the "handicapping" that 11-black does is and wants to make sure everyone understands how terrible his approach is.

Most people who wager on the derby DO give a fuck whether or not they won money and could probably care less about "hitting the race" if the payoff doesnt even give you back the money you invested on the ticket.

Gigantic spreads/boxes that include the lowest price horses are just an incredibly dumb strategy, there's no nice way of saying it. the only time a giant spread is a reasonable approach is when you are certain you can toss an odd-on favorite or the top 2/3 favorites in hopes of catching a big ticket.

There's a reason 11Black doesn't post his monopoly money pre-race wagers any longer. They are a long-term negative ROI proposition, and there isn't a lurker/reader here who comes to this site to try to learn how to gamble stupidly, they want knowledgeable insight. That is why it is so important for the users of this site to self-police garbage like this.

11Black seems like a very nice and friendly guy and it's great he enjoys horse racing. The collection and sharing of general information is great to consolidate it in one spot, though I would argue that many of the things he shares are meaningless and he's lacking a lot of other info that might be helpful. His Derby handicapping strategies are terrible and should not be bought into by infrequent players and lurkers. That's Tanner's point, and I'm glad he continues to make it every year.

Good luck in the Preakness

That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. All I care about is the info he posts, not how he handicaps the race and that's all I was pointing out. I agree with you that a lot of the info he posts is meaningless and I stated so in my post, but still he posts a lot of info that's useful also and that's what many who read his threads every year care about. And I'll stand by what I said about tanner. He spews shit in these threads every year. If he doesn't like what the guy posts, then just stay out of the thread. If he wants to help others than he can start his own thread and post his thoughts instead of being negative every year in this one.

Good luck to you also...

What good is starting a new thread when the points you want to address are right here in this one? that makes absolutely no sense at all. You should take some of your own advice and if you don't like his posts, ignore them. But they absolutely belong in this thread, right along side the horrible advice they are addressing, for the benefit of lurkers and infrequent horse players who might just open one thread because it has the most responses.

The title of the thread is Kentucky Derby thoughts, not "these are my plays"! You and tanner are trashing him because of his plays he posts and how he handicaps saying he plays with Monopoly money. All you and tanner are doing is criticizing instead of giving input. My point is if you are so concerned about lurkers and infrequent horse players who might view this thread, then start your own thread and give your own views on the race instead of just criticizing others.

wabashwonders,

Thanks again for your comments.......................and you hit it on the head with the title of this thread.........." thoughts'.....................all I ever have tried to accomplish with this and other threads thru the years is to maybe help or spark some 'good conversation ' and interest in this wonderful sport. And most of the time it is good, and I love the opinions and 'thoughts' of many who contribute...................these 2 individuals have only been negative and have always 'spewed shit' in these threads. Always...................

I remember one year I mentioned Jon White and his derby strikes and they trashed him and his system, saying his theory ( 9 categories ) was 'old, antiqued etc....."...and all this guy does is pick the derby winner year in and out..............did the same this year with Nyquist..........guess these 2 individuals have tunnel vision and only see things their way.................

I know you know this.........................where have I ever said here are my plays and you must play them.................when I listed plays I always said, that for a few races out of the year, the TC races, a few summer races etc............my friends and I pool money together and try our 'luck"....................................I have been playing the ponies for more than 50 years now, and frequent tracks quite often.......... so maybe we know just a little about this sport....just maybe.

Good luck to you , and thanks and be well................................always appreciate your input.

And by the way, I do ignore most of tanners posts because all he does is criticize others and hardly ever posts any good info. I remember last year he criticized my derby pick in a thread saying the horse was too slow and would still be running the next day. That horse ran 7th in derby, 3rd in Belmont and won the Travers being the only horse to beat American Pharoah last year. So he isn't always right about things either. And I knew his selections this year were terrible pucks but I certainly wouldn't be an ass like he was to me last year and criticize his selections. I'm out of here. Tired of dealing with assinine people on here.

Not sure why this concept is so difficult for you to understand, but alerting other gamblers/lurkers to bad gambling strategies IS GOOD INFORMATION and is exactly what the spirit of this forum is about. You don't have to just share your own plays. The fact that I don't share my own plays here doesn't make 11Black's wagering strategies any less poor or reduce the need for them to be called out, the two things aren't connected at all. Facts are facts. Large spreads using favorites are a great way to go broke in racing.

Once again, for the third time, it does absolutely no good to start a different thread to address the fact that there is content right here in this thread that needs to be discussed and understood by casual players.

I don't give a fuck what the title of the thread says, there is content within it that is absolutely terrible and needs to be called out and self-policed by the community. If my "thoughts" on the Derby are that I think someone has done a terrible job of making selections and I'm stating the reasons why, that fits perfectly in the title of this thread and the spirit of this forum.

If you don't like it, ignore it, but quit whining. Readers here want opinions and perspectives, positive or negative, not the a fucking love-fest that ignores leaks and other info that might improve wagering result. If you just want positive views in an internet forum, go join a Tony Robbins fan club board or something, but quit fucking whining here.
