How about the first two picks being defensive?
1. Mario Williams
2. D'Brichashaw Ferguson
These are really the only two players near the top of draft boards who are almost guaranteed to succeed in the NFL. There are a variety of reasons that Cutler, Leinart, Young and even Bush could fail to meet expectations.
Not to mention players on the defensive side of the ball are much more valuable to teams in the long run, especially when compared to non-QB offensive players.
If the Texans/Saints front offices make the RIGHT choices (short-term jersey sales, fan outrage be damned) the first two picks in this draft should be defensive. Maybe even the first three if Tennessee reaches for AJ Hawk.
