my 2 cents.
IMO the Eagles Defense will stop the all of sudden effective Cards running game (71 attmepts in their last two games) but The Eagles have allowed only 10.8 PPG and just one TD pass in their last six games. The Cards ability to run the ball gives them some badly needed balance but it won't help much against this Philly defense.
The Eagles Def Coordinator Jimmie Johnson knows how to beat The Cards and that is to harras Kurt Warner with blitz packages, an area where The Eagles excel as well as any team (even Pittsburg and Baltimore) in the NFL.
Bottom line look for Assante Samuels or Brian Dawkins to make a big play on dee in the secondary and The Eagles pass defense featuring Darren Howard and some excellent linebackers to shut down The Cards passing game with pressure and their running game with hurry up. Johnson will show nickel and even dime packages to Warner almost every play, they are not concerned about the Cards running game.
On offense there is no telling how many points The Eagles can put up in perfect weather and all their key players healthy. Eagles wide receivers caught 197 passes in the regular season, which was the most in the Andy Reid era. They’ve caught another 25 in their two playoff wins, including 12 in Sunday’s 23-11 divisional-round victory over the top-seeded New York Giants. The Eagles had four wide receivers catch more than 30 passes.
Eagles win comfortably but they own the 4th quarter if the game happens to stay competitive all the way.
That is how I see the game anyway. FWIW I hope Arizona wins the game as a fan because I have never liked the Eagles since the 60s. Gambling is another story, the team I bet is my favorite team for that particular game.
BOL to all, regardless of your team, :toast:wil.
