COL is in the same position houston is..5 game skid..coming off a sweep..playing at home..But in this case I definetly would bet against them, because SD is simply the better overall today. Both pitchers have been stinking it up lately. So I think this will come down to offense. SD is hitting lefties .323 in thier last 10 games. .275 in last 5, but I'd say that will go up today in a park like COL. COL batting .269 vs righties. SD's road record is equal to col's home record.. 11-11 ..Just got to give the edge to the better overall team in this one.

Not unusual.

5 win and 5 lose and 1 rained out.

You can usually find a good underdog play...

The question is... which one?

Tonight the answer is Oakland A's.

Someone... Hope you played the Reds last night. Small underdog price, but a winner is a winner. (And a chicken dinner!)

Packer,

Good Call last night. Unfortunately, I played one of the 5 that didn't win...LOL. GL with your play tonight.

As stated above Oakland A's +1.39 tonight.

Before you ask A's can handle Lowe. He has struggled lately and giving up far to many base runners. Redman has not been real impressive either, but think the A's get the money.

Packer,

What's your take on the Yankee/Oriole game today? They had a rain delay yesterday which was a bad omen for the O's.

I feel the Yanks are a little too good right now for the Orioles most nights.

Really don't like the price/value though.

Packer,

Do you think the O's can handle Mussina?
He's prone to give up a lot of runs and hits sometimes. Lopez is simliar to Lieber.

Moose has been very hittable most nights.

Just think the Yankees are sort of "hitting their stride" right now and are a dangerous fade. However, for the reasons we are mentioning, I do not like the value on taking the Yanks either.
A no play for me for sure.

Packer,

What's the weather like in Baltimore today? That rain delay yesterday was a bad omen for the O's.

my 2 cents again..cincy and sd both picked up wins yesterday..i liked the cubs too but as stated..wouldn't touch it because of houston's 5 game skid, and them being due. Today I think will be a big day for favorites...Really don't see much value in dogs today Besides for OAK and the Pirates. OAK however is too shaky for me as boston is torching good lefties lately hitting .346 in last 5, .318 in last 10..and redman isn't all that spectacular they should have they're way with him. D. Lowe isn't a gem himself, so I think this will be a slugfest, If that game comes down to bullpens, gotta give the edge to BOS. I do see some good value in the Pirates today with benson going for them. If he can just pitch like he's been pitching on the road before the last 3 games, they got a great shot. I think they're bats can get to Marquis. His team is 2-3 when he pitches at home this season. His era at home 4.45. Benson era on the road 3.58. Plus this pirate team is 13-8 on the road..and St. louis for whatever reason is 10-13 at home. Think the pirates slip away with a win tonight.
