Illinois and Iowa are more similar than Nebraska and Iowa..........

Nebraska/Kansas are the gateways to the West, not St. Louis like many would have you believe.

Spent my college years all over the midwest...nothing but love here....but St. Louis will always be the gateway to the West...

Southern Illinois is similar to Iowa...What I remember about Iowa is that each city was an entity to itself and all the towns had town squares...and each town had festivals and celebrated their existence with fairs and festivals...and the people were for the most part friendly and helpful...
