i dug it as well... and, i'm surprised no one mentioned the first or second Rockys... both very very good films, even aside from the boxing perspective.

i really think the rocky franchise is possibly the greatest in film aside from the godfather, not because they were all oscar winning, but because they all (aside from possibly 4 and 5) brought memorable moments to the bigscreen. who'll ever forget the training montage in rocky 4?? no one.

raging bull is the best and diggstown and gladiator are the best no ones heard of but there is 1 that no one has mentioned "the hammer" not to be confused with "the hebrew hammer" adam carrola has boxing skills.

bourne's, rambo's, polanski's pirates, pirates of the caribbean, lord of the rings, the vacations, the fockers and im sure I can think of a few more that are better than the rocky series but I still liked the rocky's but to place it 2nd is not realistic.
I have to put the vacations in the top 3 they are great "nick popageorgio" what a great name.

yeah we'll need to agree to disagree as far as the franchises go... pirates of the caribbean is a joke, fockers are a joke, rambo's have 2 good films... just glad someone else appreciates gladiator.

Highlights from the Robert Wise 1956 film "Somebody Up There Likes Me". Based on the true story of boxer Rocky Graziano. This was Paul Newman's breakout movie.
