You know what is funny. I am a Yankee Fan but I still want boston to make the playoffs, so we can have a rematch in the playoffs. I can tell you it will be a VERY boring playoff if the yanks don't get to play boston in the playoffs. I could care less about playing wsox, indians, or angels. It seems like the World series, the whole playoffs are noting with out the annual yanks-rsox matchup
Fish this is not the same Boston team from last year. Boston will be lucky if they can even get to the Yankees series.
You have to be crazy if you think this rsox team is good. They have NO pitching at all and there offense will only carry them so far in the playoffs. Boston couldn't have it any better with a matchup with the wsox in the 1st round. They maybe able to offset their shitty pitching with the wsox shitty hitting.
Whats funny is the yanks will rest alot of the starters tommorow, but their scrubs are probally better then some MLB starting teams and if shilling doesn;t pitch well the rsox could be in trouble. And wright will probally try to pitch the game of his life as he is hoping he can some how get on the yankee playoff roster. It sucks for the rsox to have to play a game like this against the yanks as I think the yankees will still care to win this game due to their history.

Red Sox were in first place almost all year...Yankees come out play well last 20 games or so and all of a sudden their pitching is awesome and they are the greatest team

I didn't say jackshit all year because there was no need to, but the last few days all these rsox fans have been talking shit forgetting that the rsox suck, so I thought it was time to remind everyone the yankees own the rsox. Everybody gets lucky once in 80yrs.

And yes the yankees are good. Their biggest problem is middle relief. The big question for the yanks is how wang and chacon handle the "big game" I'd rather have middle relief problems then not have any relief at all. The weak hitting wsox and angels shouldn't pose a major problem in a playoff series to the yanks as it plays into the yanks weakness. As for the indians, they can hit but don't seem to be able to hit the last few games. The rsox is the one team I think the yanks are vunrable to as they can knock out a starting pitcher very quickly and that would play into the yanks weakness, but then again the rsox don't seem like they can hold a lead late in the game.
