I saw it. Ortiz was on 1st, and even Pie (the LF) misplayed the ball that would have been a run if it was any runner other than Ortiz. (Pie let the ball go under him but recovered quickly, and Ortiz didn't run hard as usual)

Youk wouldn't have hit a triple to the short left unless... the ball kept caroming off away from the LF without any bobbling (for an error etc).

Youk was lucky to even have a 2nd chance at a plate appearance as Ortiz got on base just because Roberts (2B) lazily didn't catch a shallow popup for an error.
