No big deal but something I am messing around with. Might be just me but it seems more professional to have RxModerators work the board rather than just posters. Not to mention during football season we have so many newbies around someone may not even know who that is editing their post, this will make it clear they are affilliated with the site. Also I think it takes some of the personalities out if it when one of our guys needs to moderate something. Instead of the person I am moderating responding to Patrick the poster I want him to respond to a generic sounding RxModerator. Does that make sense? For instance if I am editing something that needs to be edited in the political forum I don't want someone to think "yeah if I was a Democrat/Republican you would have let this go, you are after me because we disagree Patrick". I think eventually it will cause the issue to become the most important thing rather than who is doing the moderating. I want to reinforce to our guys that we wear two hats and we need to act differently depending on the circumstances. There are some guys I think are great as a poster and I enjoy them but are headaches when I put my moderator hat on. LOL.
Anyway this is just a test phase to see if the guys like it and see what kind of feedback we get. It is far from permanent and in fact only a couple of the mods are even experimenting with it. If the idea catches on then we will incorporate it permanently, if it doesn't we will do away with it. It didn't cost us a quarter so it's not like we are married to the idea. Each mod has their own # assigned so we can see who is doing what. Plus some will still be using ther regular names as well for now. Any feedback along the way will be welcomed. Thanks.
