who wins?

You play from the white tees while he plays from the championship tees.

I dunno. These pros are amazing but they only hit it so far. If speith can lose to a guy like rocco mediate who i know i hit it further than already 2 mulligans would be a battle

let's put it this way.....par 3, let's say he has 205 and you have 180 from the tee.

do you think your 3 chances get inside of his one shot?

small side point....2 mulligans doesn't mean best of 3 shots....you commit to using your 2nd mulligan, you have to take your last shot

I'm honestly not sure tee to green. Conditions would play a role. Are we talking US Open conditions? That'd be a struggle for any amateur golfer. The huge advantage is having 3 looks at every single putt.

That changes everything.
I would always be gambling that my 2nd shot will be better then my first.
Then I would be gambling that my 3rd shot would be better then my second.

I'm a 9 handicap and I would lose. The 2 mulligans MAY let me stay close to par, which only means he shoots under par.
Amateur golfers wouldn't stand a chance.

I still lose by 74 strokes. I would get so bored though by the 10th hole, I may have to pull a Tiger and walk off the course.

Depends on the golf course and the difference in yardage, but it would be alot closer than most of you think if the amateur is a decent golfer (10 or under handicap). If you give a decent golfer 3 shots to make a put from a makeable distance, they will usually make it

C'mon. Would still lose by at least 10-15 strokes over a full 18. These guys bury 8-12 foot putts. Even if we both got on in the same number of strokes I am still not making a 15 foot putt with three tries at it and he is sinking his. Also any par 5 he's probably on in two and I'm in a bunker.

It would only be competitive on a par 3 course because at best, he birdies every hole. With 3 shots, alot here could probably get on the green on tee shot. Then have 3 chances to sink long put and he wouldn't birdie every hole anyway. would prob. still lose but better discussion than a real course.

I'm a very average golfer. Im content with a round in the 80s and that's on pretty simple courses. And that's never playing the ball "down."

If given two mulligans per shot, I think Spieth would easily beat me by double digits. Especially if we are playing a PGA Tour quality couse under PGA Tour conditions (fast greens, tall rough, playing ball as it lies, etc.).

These guys are just too good.

I have to think 2 mulligans per shot puts a 9 handicap under par
