The hope and change idiots who stood in line for 2 hours to vote for Obama hardest hit

In a preview of his speech on Sunday, Obama told Chuck Todd of NBC’s Meet the Press that he was “confident that I have the authorization that I need to protect the American people.” Obama repeated that same line in meetings with foreign policy pundits on Monday and again in meetings with congressional leaders on Tuesday.

That authority is Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution, which names the president commander-in-chief of the military. But not everyone is convinced that the clause, which opens Section 2, gives the president the authority Obama currently claims. Among those doubters is Obama himself, or at least the pre-presidential version.

In late 2007, as part of a candidate Q&A, Obama told Charlie Savage, “The president does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.” And as Obama made clear in his Sunday appearance on
Meet the Press, this is not the case in Iraq or Syria. “I want everybody to understand that we have not seen any immediate intelligence about threats to the homeland from ISIL. That’s not what this is about.”

For years Obama was not on record on many things. When he become a Senator that all changed. Countless things he said about Bush have come to haunt him. Since he became POTUS he has been caught in hypocrisy after hypocrisy. He says one thing and does another and gets caught time after time. That speech last night was rhetoric only. I remember something like 37 countries supported Bush and going into Iraq. I think only like 9 countries are supporting Obama on Isis. More may join in but who knows. He would love to be dictator in chief. Bush never acted without taking in all the advise he could from the military leadership. Not so with Obama. Like I have said for years, Obama walks around with his zipper down and the sheep will not acknowledge it. He would not zip up even if they told him. Only in America.

Amazing. Someone who taught Constitutional law has no idea how the Constitution works. Anyone who has actually read the fucking thing knows what steps are necessary to declare and commence a war. What an ambarrassing buffoon.

Good news though, Ace...ISIS isn't about Islam! And that's why I'm sure they will be very respectful of the Constitution and say "Sorry, we violated the Bill of Rights...so go ahead and arrest us."

Remember when Obama was going to make the Muslim world like America because he was raised around Muslims and had an international viewpoint? Liberals actually said & believed that.

Even this guy at the NYT isn't buying Obama's crap

BERLIN — PRESIDENT OBAMA’s declaration of war against the terrorist group known as the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria marks a decisive break in the American constitutional tradition. Nothing attempted by his predecessor, George W. Bush, remotely compares in imperial hubris.

Mr. Bush gained explicit congressional consent for his invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. In contrast, the Obama administration has not even published a legal opinion attempting to justify the president’s assertion of unilateral war-making authority. This is because no serious opinion can be written.

^ but what does a Law Professor at Yale know anyway? Obama is like super smart and stuff!
