Love creative titles. Got you to click, didn't it?
Everytime I make a thread like this I lose. Here's links for proof:
Lakers are overvalued again
I'm on Indiana (-1.5) tonight
Troy is an UNDERDOG? ML this game!!!
No chance Toledo and Miami put up 50 points tonight
So when I start something like this, go the other way. You'd be 4-0.
But look. Minnesota isn't THAT good. Yes, Indiana is very bad, especially on the road, at home they stay in games and play well for one half (I'll get into that later).
92% of the public is on Minnesota. Come on guys, you're smarter than to take the 92% side! Yes, this is a Minnesota team that went to Wisconsin and won. Yes, they beat Louisville on a neutral court. They only are giving 9 points against a team that lost at home to Lipscomb (RPI 226)? It's a gift! That's reflective of the 92%.
Indiana took Michigan to OT at home and covered. They only lost by 10 to a Penn State team at home who is pretty good this year in a game that was competitive after Indiana woke up. Their two Big Ten home showings weren't bad at all. Indiana isn't the type of team that opponents get up for. Against the lower of the Big Ten at home they have the mentality that this is a game they can win, giving a good effort. This is one of those games.
Minnesota's road performance isn't great. That Wisconsin win stands out, but UW had that game in complete control until the last few minutes of an epic collapse. They lost by 9 at Northwestern even with "The Barnyard" there. They only beat an Iowa team by 3 in Iowa City (Indiana lost to them by 4 in Iowa City by comparison). They beat a bad Colorado State by 1 in Fort Collins. None are great performances.
It's a white out for the game (LOL, come on Indiana, really?), it's early morning and Minnesota won't awake, allowing Indiana to cover the 1H spread and potentially lead at half. Then you'll see Minnesota come back in the 2H and win the game.
Key point: Indiana all season long has only put together one good half. I think its the first. If it's not, and you see Minnesota get off to a big lead, double down on Indiana in the 2H. It's worked for me all year.
Oh, guess I have to make a pick. It's really a contingency thing (halftime picks are the best).
2nd half 2 units on the team that didn't cover 1H.
As always BOL to everyone.
