I was raised a Yankee fan by parents who grew up in new jersey, the Yankees will always be my team that I root for. I moved in Kansas city 10+ years ago when I was in high school. The Royals became the local team you get invested in bc they are always on tv. This years team is on a great run, and if your not watching, your missing out. Every playoff game they have been in has been exciting wire to wire almost. This team has outstanding defense in the outfield, making highlight play after highlight play. More speed on the base paths than any other team in the league, and they are hitting for power too (rare for them). Old veterans who have never been here and young guys who are just playing with pure passion still. The city has not seen them in the playoffs in almost in 30 years and is fully behind the team. So quit bitchin you don't know all the players names or they don't have some huge superstar, just enjoy the team in the moment, its refreshing to see a team playing for their teammates and not worried about their next tv ad.
