I posted this on my first thread of the spring season.

Let me say this while im 0-0. This counts towards the season record wheather I go 10-0 or 0-10 during spring training. Last year I got off to a great start in the spring and a few people questioned me for adding that to my record. (This is not a damm contest between posters so who cares). Just people throwing in there 2 cents helping people cash. This thread will go from March thru October.

This is spring training for the players only. Not us and the sportsbooks. A spring training game in March pays the same as a World Series game in October.

I post my plays on this forum for 2 reasons.

#1) Because I win and like to help others do the same
#2) Its a great way for me to keep up with my record for the season

As far as im concerned my baseball season starts on my first spring game that I bet. Its only the spring for the players and the teams. Not for us and the sportsbooks. It has nothing to do with having a great spring record thats why I posted that thread on day one of spring that I would count the record no matter how it turned out.

But I will let the posters choose whether or not my spring record should count or if I should start from scratch.

First one to 15 wins....

though i agree with your logic on the posted plays counting for your total i think you should add them in at the end of the regular season, some have been wanting to tail you this year and there are sure to be differences in the records. it will make it easier for those that follow along with real money to answer questions that are sure to arise from some later followers. i don't discount the wins and neither should someone else.

Its not up to me. The first one to 15 wins. Vote the way you feel.

Just add it to your total record. Baseball bets are baseball bets. Who cares if its preseason, reg season or post season? winning money is winning money.

If I had 15 votes it would count. You posted all the plays in two places and clearly stated that your record would count (either plus or minus).

Even if you don't count the spring record, it can be listed separately.
In fact, that is the way i would prefer it, e.g. with your daily posts
and picks something like this:

Spring record {preseason}: 15-5
Regular season record YTD: 20-10
Overall record combined = : 35-15

But it is not a big deal. The main thing is that you post a record
which many others don't do.

I agree with the separate listings completely (but you should list units as well as records). If you don't do it that way, I say keep it out, only because people will look at the titles of your posts and see your record and immediately think it is the regular season. I'm not saying I agree with that, but that's what will happen. I, for one, have made some nice coin off your "preseason" picks and the money I made is the same as if I played the World Series and won, like you said. But if you're going to put records in the titles of threads, I believe it is misleading to a lurker who thinks it is purely the result of the regular season. Just my $.02 (although I can also make a good argument for keeping them in). Congrats and thanks for the great spring! Keep it up bro!!!

Just wanted to say I'm shocked this went in the way of "don't count"

Chop puts in the hard work and posts his plays here, he doesn't have to do it....And here we have people bitching about it not being easy enough to keep up with their record?

What did people not understand about his first post in pre-season, saying his record will count no matter what? Good grief

Choptalk,

I'll be with you from opening day - best of luck all season!

Can you refresh my memory as to how many units and how
many wagers you typically make per day? I understand of course that
this varies, but for instance do you post one major play and a
couple of secondary plays daily?

Thanks,
MathProf

It varies greatly.

Put anywhere from 5 to 15 units on the table per day.
