I will answer a question with a question.
Of the 2, who will still be with their franchise 5 years from now?
Black quarterbacks regress. We see it all the time. Luck is about to enter his prime. White pocket qb's get better while black gangsters who steal laptops start fast and then decline. Cam will start pouting again very soon. Team overpays him, then injuries will pop up, then lawsuits about kids.
Newton as an entire year-and-half on Luck stat wise yet the numbers are still similar.
Since no one likes stats, lets look at a simple fact. Luck doesn't miss a game in his first 3 seasons and the Colts make the playoffs all 3 seasons. Misses half this season and they do not make the playoffs with the same players. Newton has started 5 years and in only 2 of those years did the team have a winning record. And that defense may be the best defense in football.
All 32 GM's would take Luck over Cam. Even Carolina would as I am sure they appreciate the face of the franchise acting like a homeboy every chance he gets. And way to be original, who is Superman? Cam or Shaq?
He will be done within a few seasons. Remember, watch the homeboy qb's regress. They are rarely anything once they hit 30 and by then, that defense will be long gone.
