Yeah why not do several...hell...maybe if we do 10 or so a year...a lot of people could just live off the government.

government spending just a backstop during times when the markets are under stress due to overexcesses created by the federal reserve and government involvement in the marketplace and than you elect guys like obama that give the have nots hope for a better day so you can save your crooked system

and everytime they get involved they end up spending our money poorly and in an inefficient manner

FDR wasn't some hero to the average joe's as history portrays him....he was a hero to the power brokers in that he saved the federal reserve and the pyramid scheme central banking system

the cult of personality

nice somebody did an obama compilation to one of my favorite songs

Yeah, just keep handing out borrowed money. Imagine if a private citizen or a private business operated that way? They would be bankrupt in no time.

better stimulus is letting people keep their money and spend it in the economy as they please and companies and businesses will determine what investments should be made and are viable in the marketplace

government stimulus will always be flawed and very wasteful by nature

governments haven't any clue how to handle our money in a efficient way that is for the betterment of america over the long haul....they haven't throughout the history of world economies.....communism always fails

the free market haters don't hate free markets.....america today is no where near free market capitalism anymore

they hate the unregulated federal reserve and government that gets involved in the marketplace creating vast amounts of credit and allows banks to run rampant and do anything they want creating bubbles that inevitably burst like it is right now

this one just a bigger problem than normal since we have many bubbles that have been building over the course of a wide variety of timeframes (some dating back to the 30s...like fannie mae) bursting all at once

I'm against the stimulus. We were giving people who didn't pay income taxes a stimulus check. A guy that I know in college (part time job) who made around $3000 got a stimulus check. Just ridiculous.

We can't expect the American People to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism.

The problem is Americans are proselytized to be supporters of big government all throughout school that their thinking and understanding of economics is so perverted. I remember asking my dad when I was little why the government doesn't just print a million dollars for every person in the country so we'd all be rich. My dad's pretty smart and he had no idea how to answer the question.

FDR is without a doubt the most overrated President in the history of the United States. Any time someone wants to cite him as some sort of hero, I want to :puke1:</EMBED>

I love these "former" Ron Paul supporters all of a sudden towing the socialist line to the hilt.

 Why am I not surprised it's you who said this? You're probably the only poster on the political forum that supports this.
