First off, whenever I bet the yanks they screw me and when I bet against the pigs they screw me worse. So today, I'm going to try it one more time....

I'm taking the red sox with beckett pitching -119 for 5 units. Red Sox strolled into yankee stadium last night and throttled the yanks, shutting them out 7-0. This same yankee team who scored 18 runs the previous night couldnt get a lick of anything going VS Masterson and I think Beckett will dominate this lineup today and the red sox will tee off on shit face Rasner.

I dont care that girardi had a closed door meeting with his team and is all fired up. The red sox were in just as bad a situation as the yanks coming into last nights game with them and shrugeed it off to hammer their arch rivals while the yanks couldnt muster a goddamn run against the hated red sox. If the yanks cant get up for last nights game, i dont see them touching beckett today.

The yanks for the most part are old, slow, lazy, shows no motivation and cannot string together any sort of wins because their pitching staff is a joke and hitters could give a shit less about winning. Arod is getting sucked off by madonna, jeter gets hot cross buns nightly and giambi is incognito with his mustache. IF the yanks win today I may tie a cherry bomb to my prick.

best of luck today and try not to blow your pecker off with any fireworks!

Mr. DTN, excellent topic for a 4th of July! I am not a big fan of the Yanks(the MOST consistently overpriced line at the books) I have not read many good this morning on them, with anything from Madonna pressure on ARod to Beckett dominating them. Most other forums I visited this morning are 75% pro Boston. This is the 1 out of 4 times there might be value in the Yanks. I am not sure yet. Was going all in for the Red Sox until I saw everybody on them.(Remember Joba's last can't lose start.) Still like the Sox but can't be sure. Everybody on a team doesn't mean the worst of conditions, yet we must tread carefully.
GLTA Excellent topic here!! Let's vent!! Crush the MFin books!!!!

Trying to seriously look at the total. The yankees have scored 0 runs,18 runs,2 , 1 , and 1, their last 5 games. What the hell is that!!! This team is unpredictable. 4 out of the 5 games they averaged 1 run a game. I am leaning to the Under here. What is your take on the total?

Josh Beckett mastered the Yankees' lineup in an April 17 start at Yankee Stadium, going eight innings and allowing only three runs on six hits. He's the ultimate big-game pitcher, so there's little reason to expect any less than a similar effort.

Rasner really is not capable of dominating, even if he pitches well the sox will get a few runs through 5 or 6 innings.

not a fan of either of the teams I think the smart money is on the Yankees today as a home underdog. Rasner not great but Beckett has not faired that well away from Fenway. Slight advantage to Yankees should be even money w/ Red Sox road record. Can't see Beckett shutting down the Yankees on Steinbrenners's Birthday, I mean Independence Day.
