If you are so sure of yourself you can bet -355 the yanks don't win the pennant at wsex or -669 they don't win the world series. I am sure wsex will offer this prop like they did last year. If the Yankees don't make the playoffs baseball loses tons of $$$$$.

I am sure of the bet I made. You said that it was likely to lose. I asked you if you wanted the winning side. You declined. I'm not laying those numbers, thats stupid. If they happen to make the playoffs, and I felt like they wouldn't win the Pennant, wouldn't I just wait and bet against them in the ALCS?

If Pinnacle felt they didn't have a chance to make the playoffs they would put the Yankees at 4-1 or more to win the Pennant they got them at +260 and +284 at wsex. Pinnacle is not scared to raise lines on future bets. I am sure you will get another chance to bet them. BTW I bet with sportsbooks not individuals.

Just to refesh your memory at the all star break the yanks were 8.5 games behind Baltimore in 2005.

Irving, this thread is for people who want to make realistic evaluations and predictions. That Baltimore team was relying on smoke and Mirrors, and everyone KNEW it. The Yanks need to worry about Detroit.

Hey if you like Detroit you can still find them at 15-1 for the pennent and +3.50 to win the division.

If you do the math how many teams have a realistic chance to make the playoffs.

contenders
Boston
Yanks
White Sox

50/50 group
Cleveland
Detroit
Toronto

Toss up
AL west any one can win that race

Do you know the AL Central has not had a wild card since MLB has added the wild card.

I really am giving Clevend and Toronto a better chance than the odds indicate.

Bubba Crosby goes to the DL

Pavano had to leave a rehab start after 9 pitches and very likely is done for the year. Has not thrown a pitch for NY this season.

Posada has a bad back, probably wont play tonight.

Chacon missing his start tonight with a large welt near his knee

Johnny Traitor- According to the New York Post, Johnny Damon has a bone chip in his right foot that is causing him severe pain. "The shoulder is OK, but the foot is killing me," Damon said before Tuesday's game vs. Texas.

it is impressive Sal.

Would say though that many wins came before the injuries got bad like this. Can they keep it up?

Yanks now 3-4 in 10 game Stretch (4 vs rangers, 3 @ mets, 3 @ bos).

My prediction is looking ok (predicted about 20 posts ago they they would finish this stretch 4-6).

Yanks currently 1.5 games back in the division (Bos has 2 in the loss column though)

Yanks Currently 3.5 games back in the wc race (CHW holds 3 game lead in the loss column)

What would pinnacle's odds on making the playoffs be now?

well they are a rock solid +260 to win the pennant but wsex has them now +300 it won't be long before wsex has that prop you want up.

I agree with you the 2 locks for the playoffs are Yankees and St Louis.

2 Locks are the WHITE SOX and the Cards. How can you call a Yanks club with one good starter and major injuries a lock?
