It all goes back to the cake divisional games that dont wear your team down. Im sure your bullpen was spent after that tough series with Seattle or the A's. The yankees on the other hand deal with real teams. And the yankees will tie it up tonight.

the rangers are 1 win away from knocking off the two best teams in your so called premiere AL East division

You have no idea what you are talking about: including relievers ( not sure why you would leave them out)
Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Joba Chamberlain, Posada, Brett Gardner, Phil Hughes,David Robertson, Robinson Cano,Francisco Cervelli, Marcus Thames, and Andy Pettitte. Total - 11.

Thames was in Detroit for several years...he just came to NY this year - dropping your total to 10

I wasn't counting relievers nor back up catchers but if I did Texas could add Feliz, Kirkman, Ogando & Teagarden bringing Texas total to 11

But actually my point is that Texas's recent success is in large part due to their farm system - 3 starting pitchers, their closer, and 4 of the 8 position players .....whereas the Yanks is due to their checkbook

So what if Thames was in Detriot, he from the Yankees farm system. Does Andy not count because he went to the Astros?

Cervelli started last game.. did you not watch?

You success is coming from Josh Hamilton.. Your pitching about to blow the series.. maybe your newly bought lee can save your ass.

No doubt the Rangers are hot..In the long run they are not a nearly as good as the yankees or the Rays..Yankees are going to win this series.

If that's the case add Oliver and Holland to the count for Texas @) now 13-11

"In the long run"...like the previous 13 games they have played each other this season?

What about this series so far? With the exception of the second game CC started, and ONE INNING of CC's first start, the Yankees have gotten their asses handed to them. The Evil Empire goes down this weekend...most likely tonight, but if not tonight, then Yankee-Killer Cliff Lee will see you tomorrow.

I bet the Rangers to win the series at -150 when they were up 2-1. I'm playing the Yankees tonight. Texas sort of seems to lack the killer instinct, and from everything I've read online, they are in full blown "Oh well, if we lose today, we'll just have Cliff Lee bail us out tomorrow" mode. Sure, they'd like to get it done tonight if possible. But if they fall behind early, I don't know if they'll kill themselves trying toget back into the game.

Think the Yankees win relatively easily tonight, but the Rangers win tomorrow.

No need to stretch anything on my part. Your statement that "you looked at the Texas line-up and did not see many home-grown players" was absurd. Obviously you do not know what you are talking about.

Best team money can buy, yea thats correct.

However, I look at that texas line-up and not too many home grown players. You bought everyone huh? Just got em cheaper..

Yankees have more home grown players than the Rangers..

This is your statement :ohno:

I think you are just pissed that you did not get Lee @)

Fair enough...out of 45 innings played this far into the series, the Rangers have out-scored the Yankees 32-18. How is that for counting runs? :103631605

Lewis lifetime era 5+...

Lewis is a much different and much better pitcher now as opposed to when he was starting 3 years ago...he didn't even play MLB the past couple of seasons. Meanwhile, Hughes has a 4.20 career ERA

Birdman sounds like he needs some tissues and a punching bag to release some frustration.

i wonder if birdman stayed the whole 9 innings in games 3 and 4 or if he was one of the ones we saw leaving in the 7th inning of BOTH games?

I certainly don't think Colby Lewis is some scrub...he had a terrific year....that being said this is the Yanks 2nd time seeing him in the week...they should have much better swings and square the ball up.
