I was looking at this game today, and I cannot understand the lines.

The Yankees should not be such a big dog today. +150 is crazy!

Honestly I probably won't be betting this game, but if I was not a Boston fan I would bet on the yankees in a heartbeat. They have such a great lineup, that it makes no difference who is pitching.

I still think Martinez is the better pitcher, but I am going to lay off of this one, and just enjoy watching the game.

Boston is like 6-14 in their last 20 vs the Yankees when Pedro starts, anyway you look at it, that is not good.

Mussina and the + money ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK.:aktion033

Brock, the thing is, that you never know what a team does when they get desperate. We have seen Boston choke when they really did not need to win.

Then, we saw them be the first team since 1910 to be down 0-3, and win a game in extra innings.

I would not be taking anything to the bank just yet.

Martinez keeps being effective vs the Yankees, while Mussina sucks at Fenway, as opposed to being fairly effective vs the Bosox at Yankee stadium.... Bosox bats have already gotten to the bullpen setup men, and now Rivera, and they should hold the advantage the day after last night's long game and then having to pitch again but in somewhat chillier weather to boot.....

Likely, Mussina will get chased early while Martinez should get 7 strong innings in-- will probably have a huge lead when he departs the game...

So it many not be reckless to take the Red Sox AND give the 1½ runs, even though at home, for those juicy 3-2 odds......

Another way to make money from this game, without having a strong opinion either way: likely Boston will score a few runs, the Yankees maybe not against Martinez--- so a dutch of:

1. Boston either money or run line..... AND
2. a parlay of the Yankees either run or money line AND the OVER

Good Luck....

Mussina has been sharp as nails of late, perfect through 7 + innings in game one. Was ONE OUT from a perfect game at Fenway a few years back.

Easy money on the yankees here as they close out Boston once and for all, would have done it last night had they not wasted Rivera for two innings instead of he one in the 9th.

WAKEFIELD will be a huge factor this evening IMO.

Also hope that the Bosox start POKEY at 2b.

Unfortunately it makes no difference how many innings he was perfect, as he could not limit them to scoring.

Mussina is a totally different pitcher, when he pitches away from home. Like I said, I am not betting this either way.

This game has "sit back and just watch" written all over it.
How about look in occasionally. ;)

To be honest, like I have said, I am envious of people who enjoy bases. I wish I could get into it.

I think its one of those things, your either born with it or not...I don't have the same passion for MLB, but still love the game, and of course the playoffs will always bring that out...I don't think I've missed a meaningful baseball game my whole life :) ....

I literally live, die, and ponder every pitch.

Think it comes alot from just playing the game as much as anything else.
