Im sick of hearing about the economy and how they should not be spending this money. There fans pay huge prices for tickets even in tough times, all they are doing is putting the money back into the team and trying to produce wins.

First let me say that I could careless about baseball, but To pay these players this kind of money is mindboggling to me. I really do not blame the players at all, if these idiots are willing to pay them, why not take it. Just seems messed up to me with everything going on, to set the market the way they have....But then again the Yankess sent MLB something like 20 million for Luxury taxes.

Exactly. People need to stop crying about this. Look at what the Rays did last year. Spending money does not equal buying a championship. I couldn't care less if they spent one or two billion on free agents. It's their money. Certainly isn't mine or anyone elses.

You know what is wrong with sports? Whiney little babies complaining about players salaries. Would it be better if the Yankees took this profit and pocketed it like other teams?

Have people been watching baseball recently? The Yankees haven't won a world series in years, meanwhile teams like the Marlins, Rockies and Drays are succeeding with small payrolls.

Yep. It seems like people would rather the big shark CEO's hoard the cash, opposed to giving it to the players. There's nothing wrong with being wealthy and making alot of money.
