Read Iceman's thread. Even with Sabathia's record against the Yankees, I'm looking at recent form and the game being at Cleveland and that neither teams have seen these pitchers this year. Just have a sense, this may be a low scoring affair. What do you guys think? BTW, 8.5 (+105) at most outs. 5Dimes hanging the 9 (-115).

When was the last time Wang pitched in a game that was under 9 runs?!

I like the over here. That's just me though.

One of the service picks out there posted this excerpt & what do you think of this, OMT? (By the way, hello there & congrats again on your mod duties, OMT!)

=====
"As good as Chien-Ming Wang and CC Sabathia are, we just don't see this being a low-scoring game.

Wang's road ERA is near 5 for the season, so you can expect the Indians to get a few off the Cy Young candidate tonight.

4 of the 6 meetings between the teams this season went OVER the posted total, and 6 of the last 10 mettings between the teams played in Cleveland have also sailed OVER the posted price.

With both teams featuring some potent sticks in the lineup, and the Yankees on a 7-2-1 OVER clip their last 10 games of the regular season - including their final 3 - we will look for the bats to have their way against the pitching tonight, and for Game One of this series to be a high-scoring one.

Play the OVER in Cleveland tonight."

I'm leaning on the Over myself but haven't made the bet yet. Need to decide soon, and with O8.5 stil out there (even if juiced at -125 or so), I'm thinking about it. Not so sure that only 8 runs combined will be scored tonight, thoughts, anyone?

Ironically, the one time out of last 10 starts he pitched in a game under 9 was against the Red Sox. Wow. I guess I will just sit back in silence now.

I do think this game goes over though.

No question it's a toughie. My general thoughts are that in the first game of the short series, if the starters are the aces of each staff, runs may be hard to come by early regardless of past history. There is a lot of pressure and anxiety on both the pitchers and hitters to win the first game. Just look at the other series so far this year. Certainly not hard and fast but just some thoughts to share.

Ted if I were to play the total, it would be the under. I ended up taking the Indians small.

CT:

All the late money rolling in on the Over. 8.5's disappearing or the juice is getting higher. Best of luck whatever you decide.

You've been doing really well with your totals. Nothing wrong with passing. Continued success. :103631605

Thank you. I did decide on hitting the only -125 I found for Over 8.5 (BetJam) about 20 minutes ago before dinner.

Thanks my friend. Doesn't look good early with 4 runs in the 1st inning and high pitch counts. Going to need a lot of luck.

Pitchers will settle down here.

My under 5 1st 5 innings is dead though! :ohno:
