dont look at the short term when betting. have a longer memory, it helps.

Tampa, Boston , NY fighting it out for the division. None of those teams are going away.

Marlins are a game out in NL East, nobody cares. Skanks pull themselves out of the muck into the race and they are suddenly a juggernaught. Just keep your head on straight when betting. Teams go thru hot and cool periods. You cant predict when they start or end, just try and take an honest look at them each day and cap

Good hitting and defense kept them around.
And now the pitching has kicked in...I don't know how they do it year after year especially that Mussina.

Lester has been good, Ponson worse than his record, but these teams slug it out each day. Whats done is done as far as who won the last two days. Skankies are not going to roll over and die because red sox really need this one. Actually, skankies need it more, they are 3 back, Boston is 2 back.

+150? I just dont get it. Should be a hard fought game as always between these two teams. Riveira has a day off after his 5 out outing and could nail down a close win if needed. I like the skanks.

Not missing the playoffs in 14 years is a pretty long memory, I would say.

I'd say Boston/New York homers are both the worst in sports. Funny thing is Toronto has just as much World Series rings as Boston in the past 90 years.

New York just annoys everyone because they spend ridiculously more money than most of the other teams, so fans, including myself, enjoy seeing them losing. A-Rod costs almost as much as the entire Florida Marlins team if I remember correctly, and they probably have just as good of a shot to make the playoffs.

Even our mod here showed that today

Would you care to elaborate on that remark? Personally I did not post a word regarding Saturday's game nor did I move or delete any threads for either. Maybe you know more about what happens on the site than I do.

My only post about The Red Sox or Yankees on Saturday:

<HR style="COLOR: #fdde82" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->Manny completely lost me as a fan (never was a real big fan anyway) earlier this season (July 6th) when he made zero effort as a pinch hitter and struck out looking on three straight called strikes from Mariano Rivera with the go ahead run on third in the top of the ninth in a tie game at Yankee stadium. He obviously made no effort to even try to hit the ball, Rivera or no Rivera.

Let him go and use the $20M in the offseason to pick up the best player or group of players you can with the money even if it means playing this season out without him and ending up wherever they end up. 3rd place in the AL East or maybe still get into the playoffs somehow. The Boston Red Sox, Fenway Park, and Red Sox fans everywhere will survive without Manny Ramirez and still flock to games at home and on the road.

I care about my Fish. Volstad and Johnson baby, with Anibal coming soon. You guys on the junior circuit keep things warmed up like a band opening for the main event.

That would be the Florida Marlins.:aktion033

Try to concentrate please.

That thread was from July 25th - Friday.

http://www.therxforum.com/showthread.php?t=600959

I moved it Friday because I didn't think it was right to call the Yanks "Skanks".

and how many games out of 1st are they , you make it sound like 10.

Try 3 and , 1 from 2nd ...

You ANTI-Homers are an even bigger joke. The Yanks are hottest team in bases right now, 8 straight including 2 at fenway, and the Anti Yankee Homers are chiming in NOW because in reality they are getting nervous. Now they are piping in with their Yanks will fail forecasts after 8 straight.

It looked like a good year for you guys, Hell before ALL-star break, the Yanks looked like a cooked goose and all the Evil empires opposistion were sitting around the water cooler giving high fives and saying I told you so...

Well it looks like your predictions were wrong, because the Yanks actually do have a team which can compete this year and will be factor down to the wire in my opinion. Well good, I'll take this post as a compliment because the Yankees sucuess means your failure.

Yankees can actually win on the road, which is why they will win the East.

Yeah and hes better than all of them put together too

Yeah right.. I would take Hanley Ramirez over A-Rod the playoff choker, no brainer(as would the consensus of GMs in the MLB- voted Hanley over A-rod in who they would take first overall to build a team). He is the central piece to a team that is only 2 games behind the Yankees in overall standings, and most agree that he has about 1/10 of the talent around him that A-rod has.
