In 1989 the Philadelphia Phillies had a God awful pitcher by the name of Larry McWilliams.
He was two and eleven in 1989.

He was 78 - 90 lifetime.
The only reason why he had a MLB gig all those years was because he was a lefty that could occassionaly get a hitter out.
Bill? Do you have a point, you are asking?
Funny you should ask.
For one start in 1989 against the Dodgers (who had a terrific team then) with the mighty, mighty Mr. McWilliams toeing the rubber against Dodger hurler and fifteen game winner Tim Belcher.
Me, and all my wagering pals all collectivly said "There is no way Mr. McWilliams can beat Mr. Belcher in (as Mr. ColdWeather would say) in this here game.
So we all loaded up on the Dodger with Belch against this atrocious lefty the Phils were starting.
Long story short.
Here is the result.
