reggie jackson - BY FAR
i recall the 1978 WS. dodgers up 2 games to 1. they are leading last in G4. yankees have a few runners on. a liner is hit to dodgers SS bill russell. he drops it, but recovers in time to step on 2nd to force our reggie, then he throws to 1st to get the inning ending DP.
only problem is reggie sticks out his right hip - and knocks the ball away. somehow the umpires NEVER see this - and the tying run scores in a game the yankees end up winning - a game they never win w/o reggie doing what he did. I HATED him ever since that moment and still hate him to this day. i NEVER bought a "reggie" bar when they came out because i hated him so much. he cost the dodgers a WS win.
