Xbox 360 vs PS3 - Which should I buy?

I have owned and/or played basically every system up until a few years ago when I started having kids. Now I want to buy a new system but I am a bit out of the loop. I recently bought the Wii and it SUCKS!! The only thing the Wii has is the hands on remotes but even they suck!!

So which system should I buy? It looks like the PS3 is substantially more expensive but when you compare apples to apples, I'm sure the price differential really isn't much. The following is what is most important to me.

Price!!

Do any games come with either console that will keep my 4 year old boy busy?

Game performance of:
Madden
Top Spin Tennis 3
Sims

Wireless remotes
DVD player
HD graphics

I have both of these systems, and if your looking for the better online play, then go with the XBOX. The only thing that the PS3 offers besides some of the games that XBOX dont have the rights to is a blue ray DVD player. Personally I would go with the XBOX.

The only reason you would get a PS3 is for Blu Ray. If you are not trying to watch DVD's in full 1080p, than the 360 is easily the better choice. The gaming selection on Xbox is way better.

And it costs less.

have the playstation 3 mainly for blu-ray

they now also got a movie rental thing as well on their own- hopefully they team up with netflix or blockbuster to make it better

game wise i only have blazing angels 2 and medal of honor airborne.

i think its a good system and hopefully they keep adding more with the updates.

I have had 2 different XBox 360s one of which was elite and both got the ring of death even though I barely played them. Microsoft is trying to be crafty but they know they made they made a piece of shit. I'm waiting to get my elite back so I can sell it along with the games and recently increased my PS3 inventory. The PS3 looks better in HD anyway. Besides you get a blu ray DVD player included with the PS3. F- Xbox unless you want to play russian roulette.

Well, online play is free with the playstation 3, as is wireless internet, it comes with a blu-ray player and the majority of its games come on blu-ray discs meaning a ton more space for data. Plus, its controllers are extremely light, bluetooth based and rechargable very easily-no batteries or special chargers to buy. For all that comes standard on the ps3, it's actually much cheaper than the xbox. If you want a system that, at this moment, has a few more games but will be obsolete in the coming months/years, go with the xbox. If you want a truly "next-gen" system that continues to be updated and improved (via online updates) that has incredibly more potential, go with the ps3.

depends what u getting the system for. If you want to play online and gameplay i have to go with xbox 360. If you want the dvd and graphics and better looking go with ps3.
