Carly Sonenclar is the favorite but what happens if the top 4 is her versus Tate Stevens, Emblem3 and Vino Alan? as they get knocked out, don't their voters start piling on to similiar acts?

Carly should pick up Bea's votes. Arin's votes will go to Junior Pussycat Dolls, which later will go to Carly. Carly will also get Diamond's votes and Jr. PCD's later. If top 3 are her and Tater and Alan Wine, they will split and she will win in blowout. Only shot is Emblem3 gets tone-deaf Rihanna and tone-deaf Gaga and onslaught of tweentards, but don't think this audience is that. Tater has peaked and Alan Wine is basically Josh Cry-check with Bam Bam Bigelow tattoos.

Outside of judge interference (and that would never happen on this show, wink wink) Carly shouldn't get Sanchez-ed unless the Tim Tebow looking Emblem3 guy pulls out his Phillip-squared guitar and sings a Dave Matthews cover. But then again Demi Lovato has proven she is bat-shit crazy and makes Britney "Dead Eyes" Spears look like Einstein so let's not lose hope.

I just figured out we have been watching the wrong show.

I'll make a Choptalk-like statement:

Cassadee Pope will be the biggest musical reality star since Carrie Underwood.


She's Avril Lavigne with likability. She's Miranda Lambert with talent. She's that chick from Paramore that would have a shot with you while the OJ-chase was interrupting Hakeem the Dreams Houston Rockets NBA finals at the bar and the headliners didn't show up at the bar kind of chick (this actually happened to me on my 21st birthday, the band was Sugarsmack).

While Carly-broadway-bot runs the table of Bam Bam Bigelow/Chris Rene's lovechild and soulless eyes/road worker Tate Stevens (love ya KC), Cassadee just brough me back to Aladdin and hanging out with Michelle Branch who is fucking pissed cuz someone stole her laptop and I'm thinking gotdamn you talented smelly hippy 22-year old singing the shit out of stuff worried about your iMac, when there is such a dearth of talent in American music.

Yes that dearth, filled by fucking Kesha who is Gaga and those party rock guys who I swear I saw at Club Rio 22 years ago. While I watch Canadians (Bieber-fever, Call me Carly), Brits (my oath to Cher, Ed Sheeran can I cut myself to you, Adele at the buffet) and Islander/Belgium/Scandi potpourri (Paige Thomas on Roids-Rihanna, Gotye, fucking goat-yay, and Lykke Li).

But Alabama Shakes toils in obscurity.

Somewhere Melinda Doolittle and Johnny Avello weep over some generic peppermint schnapps.

I agree. I knew he was in big trouble.. i was on his mini- bandwagon in the beginning but he definitely tailed off in my tastes very quickly

totally agree.. she is hands down the best. i am looking forward to hearing her on the radio for the long to come. she has been tested like none of the other people. when you make someone sing celine dion, judy garland and adele songs , you are really seeing what she's got.. she nailed all 3 of them.. " somewhere over the rainbow " was the greatest performance i've ever seen on one of these shows..

it was the worst of the 3 , but i think only because of the arrangement. in an attempt to make those songs their own, i think they go too far. one the other hand, the arrangement for " somewhere over the rainbow " was brilliant.
