First he bats Russell Martin behind Man Ram. It should have been Loney.

Now he brings in Kershaw in a tight game? WTF? Maybe use him against Howard, but leave him in against Burrell?

I need to vent.

Manuel walks Man Ram. Bases loaded with one out and Martin up and he hits into a DP.

..and why the FuK didn't that ashole send someone up to bat for Kuo, instead has him bunt, (now there are 2 outs). Next batter gets out, inning over...then Kuo walks first batter (always the worst thing you can do), and takes him out!!! Fukkkk! Thats Angels crap, thats why those fukere are sitting at home!!and now Stairs just homers, fukkkkkk

Stupid ass Torre. He should have stayed in the AL where he doesn't have to make decisions.

He has to be the most overrated manager in history. He did nothing before he got to the Yankees and now has shown his true colors this series.

I could have led this team the NL West division title.

Broxton is overrated too. He can't throw a strike unless it is down the middle of the plate.

Torre has led this team to be one of the last four standing. How can you honestly complain about that? They were huge underdogs against the Cubs, arguably the most talented team in baseball, and he led them to a SWEEP.

Honestly, stop complaining about Torre. He is as good of a manager as you'll ever see.

Which is it?

It's both. Just because I saw that series as 50/50 doesn't mean I didn't think Chicago was more talented. I think LAD has more talent than Philly, but I also bet Philly to win the series, and have bet them 2 of the 4 games.

Torre has done a great job with this team. They weren't even in the playoffs last year.

No, they weren't. I was on the Dodgers for the series at +194. Some books I saw had CHC -220 for the series. You probably saw the series line after game 1.

Being a Yankee fan, I am rooting hard for the Dodgers and Torre. That being said Joe really didn't have a clue tonight. Starting from the lineup as the OP said, bringing a rookie (Kershaw) into a situation that he has no right to be in, and for not bringing in Broxton to face Victorino. He could have even left Kuo in. Bad.

another case of Joe misusing his bullpen...just like his Yankee days.

I would have much rather stayed w/the veteran Lowe, then bring in a 22yr old rookie like Kershaw.

Joe Torre bailed out Charlie Manuel big time. Manuel tried to butcher this game 10 ways to SUnday and only a couple Wade/ Broxton BP pitches saved the Phillies.

why did he take lowe out?:think2:

From Bill Plaschke's article in the La Times

Torre, who was too patient with Lowe in Game 1 and was burned by it, said he was trying to stop trouble before it started.

"He had to work hard every inning," said Torre. "We were probably only going to get one more inning out of him anyway."
