March 25, 2014Updated Mar 25, 2014 at 4:31 PM CDTEAST MOLINE, Ill. -- A trip to the playground in Rock Island County turned dangerous this week after someone glued razor blades to playground equipment.
Police spent hours yesterday searching Millenium Park in East Moline, Ill. after a father told police his 2-year-old son had been cut on the hand.
Police removed a dozen razor blades that had been glued to playground equipment.
"East Moline parks are safe, but it's just a bad situation, bad instance where somebody, or maybe a group of kids, I don't know who did this, but figured this would be a fun prank to do,” said East Moline Police Lt. Brian Foltz.
Officers searched all of the city parks, but found nothing suspicious.
An investigation is ongoing.
