moon had him and than he pushed all in on a open ended straight draw in a 9 million pot....when cada was sitting at 50 mil

took guts for cada to call but moon had nothing to gain by betting that big...you either take a 9 million pot down...or he calls you and you lose unless you catch the river....

that was the turning point

"The Kid and the Logger Battle for World Series of Poker Title"

This might actually be a good one to watch once it's all edited and put on ESPN

Joseph Cada Wins 2009 WSOP Main Event ($8,546,435)
Posted: Tue, Nov 10, 09, 1:43 AM

With a safe river card firmly on the felt, Joseph Cada leaped into the air in celebration but quickly separated himself from his throng of supporters to shake Darvin Moon’s hand.

The crowd continued to chant “Joey! Joey! Joey!” as Jeffrey Pollack introduced the new, youngest Main Event champion in poker history to the crowd.

Cada took the mic and shook off a tear or two before thanking his legion of friends, family and fans in the audience. With that, he hoisted the bracelet over his head, much to the delight of everyone in the theater.

Congratulations to Joseph Cada, 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event Champion! He takes home $8,546,435.

I hope tyhey get a lot of the heads up action....I was up all night listening to the broadcast with Phil Hellmuth....and i have to say he did a pretty good job. But im dying to see their hole cards on a lot of hands....
This thing was almost over in 1 hand. on the very 1st hand it was QQ vs 1010 but Moon elected not to raise before the flop....had he done so its very likely all their chips go in on the flop and its over right then. Very well played out battle after that...

It wouldn't have been over. Moon had the QQ and he only had 50 million in chips. Cada has 10 10 and had over 120 million. So if it would have been an all in situation and they pretty much just would have switched chip positions.

After watching the ESPN episode last night, I conclude that
Moon is a below average poker player.

He got so used to the deck hitting him so hard, that he felt
like he could just keep re-raising people all-in with nothing.

Terrible poker.

He actually seems like a good kid. I wonder when he will make his first appearance in "Bobby's Room?"

Cada got lucky prior with all those flop and river luckouts, but he completely outplayed Moon heads up..

He was definitely the better player.
