Joseph Hachem is the new champion! 7:03 AM, Saturday, July 16 PST
Blinds: $150000/$300000 Ante: $50000
Report: Steve Dannenmann raised to $700,000 and Hachem called. The
flop came 4-5-6. Hachem checks and Steve bet $700,000, Hachem
re-raised to $1,700,000 ans Steve flat called. The turn was the As.
hachem bet $2,000,000 and Steve raised to $5,000,000. Hachem went all
in and Steve instantly called. Hachem held the 7-3 and Steve the A-3.
Hachem had flopped a straight and Steve was drawing to a tie with one
of the 3 remaining sevens on the river. The river was the 4 and Joe
Hachem becomes the new World Champion winning $7,500,000!

What I wonder is why was the ante only $50k when Dannemann had A-3? I mean the blinds were $150k/$300k. You just invite luck like this to happen to the other guy when you keep him in the pot.
