Only middle of 9.5! I was expecting this total to be around 80-82 and we'd have a middle of 14+. I'm spooked. Almost wanting to play it.

First half total was 80.5. Game total was 169.5

Based on those numbers, you could anticipate the 2nd half total to come in around 89 if the first half was close to 1st half total. It's been adjusted down a couple of points based on the first half scoring. The number is far from surprising.

Shooting %s look decent. Not way off. Smells like a fish that don't fly straight.
Johnny Linesmaker is acting like he does not enjoy being middled! That SOB.
Good luck the rest of the night brothers!

Maybe you're right. Game still relatively close too. Perhaps I wanted to see what I wanted to see. GL Shorty!

Ya shorty is bang on, if first half scoring was on pace and ended at 79, 80 or 81 then the 2nd half line would have been 91, 90 or 89. Based on the low scoring 1H it has been reduced down to 86.5/87. 2nd lines are always about 8 to 12 points higher depending on tempo and pace of play at the half.

Ya because of the slow pace the line is actually lower than what a "normal" 2H line should be. For example a line of 150 would be at 70 1H and 80 2H. For the most part a 10 point differential between 1H and 2H. But depending on pace and tempo of first half the books may adjust that 80 down to 78 or up to 82.

Lets say say this one closed at 170. First half was 80 and 2nd half should be 90. But because of the slow place of 72 at half the books lowered it from 90 down to 86.5/87.

Another game tonight, Morgan St/Hampton closed at 143. 66.5 for 1H and a "normal" 76.5 for 2H. But because of the high scoring first half pace and tempo resulting in 87 points the books bumped up the "normal" 2H number from 76.5 to 78.5.

So you're saying the books/their algorith (whatever you want to call it) bet on the pace to continue? Not trying to argue, just want to clarify. This is the kind of great info we need to be putting out here at the RX.
I've always been of the opinion professional sports tend to come back to the number while college sports might just continue at the pace they're on.... But at the end of the seaon, when the numbers are stronger, surely college regresses as well?

Looks like this game will land t 138-140. Wow

Yes the books have their own parameters and algorithms if you will all set for 2H lines. They are sharp for obvious reasons and I'm not saying for one second I know how they set their lines and what not. I don't have the slightest clue on what and where they make their lines for the 2H. All I'm saying is I noticed these patterns and fluctuations in 2H lines. Doesn't mean it's a play one way or the other, just observations.

Tonight, Hampton line was adjusted upwards from the norm and it went over. GB line was adjusted down from the normal and it went under. Just observations lol

Let's see what happens in KU game.

Total closed at 136. First half total I'm guessing was 63 or 64 (someone please confirm?). 2H should 73 or 74. They scored 81 in a high scoring 1H, so will they move the normal total from 73/74 to say between 75 and 76? Let's see?

I see 74.5 as the 2h total at my outs. So not much of a move off of 73/74. Perhaps books thinking KU have this game in control and should lead by DD throug out and maybe slow the pace down. If they bumped this to 75 or 76 I would think maybe OSU continues to score and keep up with KU? Just observations lol
