Probably because you haven’t watched a State of the Union address in a while. I don’t watch them every year either but I do recall Republicans doing the same thing in past few years. Does that mean they were childish, bitter, hateful sore losers also?

It was a good speech but no better than most State of the Union speeches I’ve watched in the past.

Of course both sides do this...why would either side stand and applaud for things they don't agree with...I remember when Obama mentioned using the surplus for improving infrastructure and Paul Ryan sat while democrats stood and applauded...than when Trump said the same thing during one of his speeches Ryan stood and applauded...

Team politics is truly what's wrong with our nation and it's not getting better its getting worse. The bases of each truly believe the other side is all evil and their side is all good. Until that changes the divide will only grow.
