I'm looking at 'bout three or four things, but I'm leaning <leaning> toward taking the OPENING pitcher and taking the first 5 innings. Been following that, seems like a better move, instead of getting into that bullpen stuff. That is the fatal attraction-type stuff there. They do it to you. bad.
I'm thinking it is best (I've been told by the smart guys) to play it that way.
any thoughts on that?

ERA, yes. Once they pitch a few, yes, it is vital.
I love Dale Watson. I don't know him, but I DO know Willie, hang out with his crew on the bus in Ft Worth and Dallas when they come to town. Long live Mr. Nelson, he is a real person, greatest guy you will ever meet.

It's hard to complain about that loss. I know it was a tough beat but coming late into the game still trailing by 1.. I would have assumed the Twins -1.5 was dead in the water.. needing 3 unanswered runs in the last 3 innings in which you only got 1 in the prior 6. Would you still be complaining if they lost 2-1.. didn't think so.

Back in the mid 70's, I played professionally for a weekly show, similar to the Gong Show, remember that thing?
Anyway, point is, every week they had about 12 contestants rehearse for the show, our band did the songs they were gonna perform. Well, one time, a guy comes in named Ted Presley, claimed he was Elvis' cousin. Had a similar look, but you know, we all kinda thought he was bullshitting, you know. He sang "In the Ghetto". Not bad, but damn sure not The King.
But, I found out shortly thereafter, that he WAS Elvis' cousin, but we all thought he was just BS'ing everyone, cause he had the look, the hair, stature, hell he looked similar. But, from what I understand, that was Elvis' cousin. Never spent anymore time looking it up, but supposedly, he did have a cousin Ted. And, I think, this same guy went on to do some Elvis impersonation shows later on, but not sure.
So, that's my only Elvis story. Otherwise, I'm taking the Phillies +122 today in baseball. yeah, forgot, this is a baseball forum . . . . oh, congrats on the Ducks win. Hockey is hard to figure for me, hell it's all hard to figure, I guess.
