Where I get my dental work, this is a Deal of a Lifetime !!

Try $1500 per Crown and $1200 per Root canal, so for me it would cost $5400 for the above work. :>(

That's crazy. I spent a little more than that for braces for both my daughters combined.

Are you out of your mind
Root Canals and caps are the biggest rip off ever conceived by the medical profession
trust me I had 5 of them done between 01-05
ALL WENT BAD
So I looked into having the rest of my teeth done for free at both The U of P and Temple schools of dentistry
Decided on the U of P
Smartest decision ever
EVERYTHING WAS FREE OF CHARGE
Granted it took about 5x the amount of time because the students work on you than every move they make has to be checked by the Professors (Dentist)
But no difference in the work that cost me 5k
if you are near a major college or city that has a school of dentistry please look into it and stop feeding these thief dentists anymore money

Thailand is maybe a good idea but Panama is a lot closer to The US and your airfare alone is motive enough to consider Panama which has some excellent dentists that will be able to even after travel costs save you considerable dollars when all is said and done. Thailand or Panama you will need a passport.

Best of luck in any event, wil.

Cost of a crown in Thailand...230-430 per tooth.

Many people go there from around the world for various procedures.

Makes for some nice vacations....I have seen cleaner dental offices in Costa Rica, DR, and Thailand than a few in the states....

Had two root canals and one veneer put on in Mexico just across the border. Dr was a University of Michigan graduate and cost me 1100.00. The work was great and i have refered many people in Texas to him.

You did good. It was around $3500 for one kid. Insurance pick up $1500 of it. Insurance coverage for orthro work sucks. Its always so much more than what the coverage allows.

I think I get 1 root canal a year fully paid and 50% of all crowns.

Huskygal is a union girl, she doesn't have a choice really. Those there towns pay rich benefits, which is one reason they're all broke.

One thing nice about living in SoCal, and that is you can cross the border and go to Mexico for work at half price.

I was told I needed a root canal on a tooth four years ago. Never had the work done, pain stopped within a couple of weeks, tooth is still there, no pain, no other problems. Xrays at another dentist later showed no need for root canal.

I'd get a second opinion first.

Carolina Kid , if you haven´t had the work done yet, consider coming to Costa Rica to do it. A long time friend of mine has a dental office and lab in the San Pedro area near San Jose the capital. It is the same quality or better you will get in the U.S. at a third of the price. Your savings will more than pay for your airfare and hotel. I know many satisfied customers.

Check out his web site at www.smile90210costarica.com.
