Nah. Whistle was before the catch. He was about to get tackled immediately, no question about it. They gave them the catch.

If you want to play the what if game. ..
well what if he fumbles it later on in the run?

He was NOT going to be tackled after the catch. Defenders motion wasn't even going the right direction. It would of been a foot race towards the end zone.

Lmao. The whistle was before the catch. The defender turned back to the line of scrimmage while Amendola was catching it. Can you see?

Oh you're on this bills +7. Makes sense now. Was watching the game wondering how the officials could have possibly botched that play. Guy was wide open for a touch down. Figured I'd log in here just to see if bills backers were really going to defend it...only on the RX!

Moron, the whistle should NOT have been blown. It was blown while the ball was in the airThe dude was still playing the ball. Danny had him smoked.

The whistle shouldn't have even been blown period. That's the point. It's a shame that anyone has to even explain this to you. Everyone on the field heard the whistle and it fucked up the entire play. Are you watching the same game?

Dont know if would have scored, due to the safety down the field...but it would have been a large gain. Def would have made a fg easier.

No..this is the what if game because the refs gave him the catch and the yards. You're saying what if they didn't blow the accidental whistle he would of scored. I'm saying no way. The defender gave up on the play in the process of the catch, therefore he didn't attempt to tackle.

Whistlegate -- how about a 6-month, $5 million investigation. This league is a joke sometimes.

The defender was smoked before Brady even threw it. He was fvcked before the whistle was even blown. That's the whole point.

Here's a replay for anyone that's confused. Whistle is blown as the defender is running back in bounds toward amendola. He didn't even look close and wasn't giving up because of the whistle. Whistle was blown when the ball was half way to amendola. Scroll half way down the page and make your own judgement. Regardless of what anyone thinks of the outcome, officials messing it up again.

The bills player stopped play the moment the whistle sounded. He would have tackled Amendola if not for the whistle. Pretty obvious I think.

Exactly Mob.

I have no idea what these other people were watching, but the defender clearly gave up on the play as he was catching it. No way he scores a TD.
