i went to utsa, its a lil rinky dink crap school that just barely got its football team. how come this guy couldnt get a better job? he won it all back in Miami.

He was a failure at Miami......remember, when he won that National Title, that was I believe his first year there.....the players were already there and stacked.....that program went downhill QUICK with him....they went back to being Convict U! He couldnt recruit at all!

They won't play a game for 2.5 years. If this school has an enrollment of 20k I'd say the potential is certainly there to turn it into a nice program. I'm guessing they will start out 1AA, look how far South Florida's football program has come in a very short period of time. In about 15 years they went from not even having a team to fighting for BCS bowl berths(that's a whole lotta $$$$).

Other than Florida and maybe California there's not a better place to recruit in the country than Texas. Being able to tell a recruit that he was the coach of a BCS National Championship team and name all of the NFL players he has coached should certainly help him at the 1AA level.
