Typical response. Funny how the Russians said they were planning it..not doing it yet.

They are going to wait until GW is gone..call this the prelude.

Just like it took Bush two to three years to destroy all the good work Clinton did, it will take Obama two to three years to clean up the mess Bush and his cronies accumulated.
Bush just ought to leave right now and move to Iraq.

Hilarious. Already making excuses.

What excactly did Clinton do? Oh yeah, discovered the internet and develeoped the tech boom/bubble.

Oh thats right, what he did do was push and sign NAFTA, which spelled the end of the middle class...which Bush now takes blame for.

You guys are delusional.

The Russians show that they won't be bullied and hope for a reaction from Obama which says that he will do foreign policy a little more sensibly than BushCo. Nothing special here.

From the article:
Mr. Medvedev did not specifically congratulate Mr. Obama on his victory, saying only that he hoped that “our partners — the new U.S. administration — will make a choice in favor of full-fledged relationship with Russia.”
At the same time, however, he spoke of a “new configuration for the military forces of our country” that would include abandoning plans to dismantle some missile regiments and the stationing of missiles in Russia’s Baltic enclave of Kaliningrad.
...
“These are forced measures,” Mr. Medvedev said. “We have told our partners more than once that we want positive cooperation, we want to act together to combat common threats, that we want to act together. But they, unfortunately, don’t want to listen to us.”
He was apparently referring to discussions on the proposed missile shield with the United States.
...
The United States say the missile shield is needed to intercept missiles from states including Iran and does not threaten Russia. But Russia says it regards the system as a threat and has warned that it would target such installations in lands that belonged to the Warsaw Pact.
...
He said Washington’s belief in “its own opinion as the only right and indisputable one” had “in the final account led the United States to economic blunders.”
Referring to the fighting in Georgia, he said: “The conflict in the Caucasus was used as a pretext for sending NATO warships to the Black Sea and then for the forceful foisting on Europe of America’s anti-missile system, which in its turn will entail retaliatory measures by Russia.”
The fighting in Georgia was “among other things, the result of the arrogant course of the U.S. administration which hates criticism and prefers unilateral decisions,” Medvedev said, according to news reports.

Gas Man, care to tell me where Medvedev is wrong?

This is complete rubbish from another forum ignoramus.

The russians have made worse decisions under Bush including resuming the flights of the long range nuke bombers!

This is way worse than deploying missiles in the baltics. That is no where near a danger to americans compared to the bombers.

Ps.. Is there any one stupid enough to believe that the russians were going to sit idly by while bush violated the nuke treaty we have with russia by attempting to install a bogus missile shield that doesnt even work.

A nonsensical shield that has been simply defeated by a simple placement of missiles in certain strategic positions?

Some smart people would rather look at the billions bush is giving to his cronies to install a compleletly bogus and useless technology that is actually putting us at more risk with the bogus notion that we are safe they it couldnt stop a missile or barrage even if they tried.

Stop this Bush redistribution of wealth. I hope obama calls for a comprehensive investigation of this whole system and what actual protections it provides us with!
