I hope he signs with the Vikings. I know there are a couple of Packers that would like to get a shot at that selfish prick. It might be the closest they will get to him in five years. Clay Matthews' helmet imprint in the middle of his sternum would be a nice way to retire his number for good at Lambeau. Plus it would delay the development of any Viking quarterback for another year.

maybe to help your young qb, or at the most play only the first few games

Depends.

I think the answer for fans of 90% of all NFL teams would say hell no.

There are 3 or 4 teams though that have such horrible qb play that he would be an upgrade and give them a better shot at being succesful for a year.

Hell no, unless my team (Redskins) was grooming a rookie QB.

He is a primadona and has never nurtured other qb's. When Rodgers was drafted he did nothing to promote his NFL knowledge. The Barry Bonds of football.

Doesn't matter how old he is, he's still better than any QB on the Vikings roster, so if I were Minnesota, yes I'd take him, but obviously most teams don't need him or would consider him.....

I'll tell you one thing, If he signs with the Vikings ... it might just be the Hollywood story everybody has been secretely waiting for but didn't want to admit. Because in Minnesota his main requirement won't be airing out 55 yd bombs into triple cover, IT WILL however be handing the ball off to #28 and watching AP do his thing from the best seat in the house - behind center.

Favre will be 40 in October, which is past his prime and then some But he will never have another running back before or after him with the skill set of Adrian Peterson. Which probably is what was in the back of John Elways mind when he first got his eyes on Terrell Davis, who in fact carried him and the Broncos to the most story book of endings in recent NFL memory.

It's no coincidence that Davis's top 2 seasons in the NFL were also Elways. Between 1997-1998 Davis had 3758 yds in 31 games and 38 touchdowns. The Broncos in that span had the best record in the NFL and won 2 Superbowls. Elway played good don't get me wrong but Davis was the true catalyst in that run and even die hard Bronco fans will say the same.

Favre with Adrian Peterson now in his 3rd year could have the same impact teaming up. Peterson will have easily over 300 carries this year if he stays healthy and that will take so much pressure off Favre, and allow him to do what he does best, short passing to set up the big one. Plus playing in Minnesotas dome might finally prove a benefit for Mr. Outdoor himself, his bones wont be as brittle playing indoors in the cold winter monthes which I think played a role in breaking him down mentally last year and the year before.

It is the perfect scenario for him and he knows it. (think about it.)

Only if I had a team already in place but was only lacking a veteran QB for a Super Bowl run. Ala the Vikings.

brett favre is too old to be playing football still... sure he was good a while back and to many he is still the greatest ever but he is to the point to where he cant hang with the younger generation.
