No. Just like Firefighters and Police, the physical standards will be lowered for women. Otherwise almost none of them would qualify. The problem with having females who passed lower physical standards on the front lines is that the enemy might not treat them gently. Lots of males will die just protecting them.
But the standards will not be lowered and quite frankly women don't want them to be. They just want the opportunity to apply. When a woman walks into a recruiting office and is told a certain job is off limits to her that's kind of bullshit. If everything is open then they can at least apply.

another point some of you are missing is this....if combat happens to your unit of course its ok to have a woman next to you shooting. you dont really have a choice at that point....but i am referring to putting a woman in a combat unit in advance and training her to actually go into combat...you don't want this.I cannot stress enough what a mistake it is..the reason Infantry units will fight to the death is very simple...each other....not the country or the flag or even going home....

I think what you don't realize is we run hundreds of convoys right now across Afghanistan each day. In those convoys are multiple women and if something happens, they are already in it. In unconventional war, this is how it works.
There are no morale or cohesion issues. You go out as a team and everyone has a job to do. There is no room to discuss gender.
i know...thats not what I am saying...like i said earlier I have no problem with women in the military and if they happen to be in a combat zone and rounds are flying it is what it is....

What's the difference from being in a combat unit and not being in a combat unit but getting shot at and returning fire during routine convoy operations? I'd consider fighter pilots as being in a combat unit and plenty of women fly combat aircraft and actually command units and wings. There are no problems.
huge difference....lets take Marine Corps Infantry as an example..i will explain how it works for some people who are not in the military that may need the background...
go to a recruiter and join the Marines. Before you ship to boot camp you will already know what job you will have in the Marines if you graduate boot camp. This is determined by scores on the ASVAB and the needs of the Corps....
I was 0311 which is a Rifleman in the Infantry.
Graduate boot camp and go to your job training school. For me it was School of Infantry. For everyone else they would take a basic 17 day course known as MCT. Marine Combat Training. This course is designed to give non Infantry a very rudimentary understanding of combat skills. After the MCT a Marine would move on to his real job school which could be anything from Cook to Post office worker...
If you went to School of Infantry it was an 8 week course designed to give you advanced Infantry skills...Meaning humping with 60 pound packs and weapons for distances as far as 18 miles at a time. Sleeping in the field for up to 14 days at a time.... Also you would learn how to kill the enemy from long and short range with everything from rifles to shovels....You are taught small unit tactics and survival skills as well... You are trained to be a killer...not a postal worker, cook, radar operator or any of that. You are there to learn how to kill and nothing more....
This is where women have no place. They could not ever hump a 60 pound pack with ammo and weapons for 15 miles...Could not ever happen....So the standards would be lowered...Now you have weaklings in the Infantry....Americas front line shooters are weakened.
going further the Infantry when not in combat live in pretty spartan conditions.....barracks are from the 60's and usually live 3 Marines to a room as big as most closets in a regular sized house....its a testoterone fuled mad house most of the time....training is extremely difficult and leaders tend to be very hard on the lower ranks...But its all for a reason... It builds unit cohesion...it builds a bond of hardship...
