I agree that he's not underated and never has been for me. I like watching him play a lot I just don't like the theatrics that go along with every call and yes this happens throughout the entire NBA.

I mean the ref makes the call that that's the call. Tim Duncan throwing up his arms and running towards the bench to Pop isn't going to help anything.

By the way, him getting ejected by Joe Crawford for laughing was one of the funniest things I've ever seen in the NBA.

Good point. I don't think I have thought that about Duncan once.

Good post Woof. It's laughable to attach TD to the under rated tag.

How so? Imagine if Kobe or Lebron or (anyone) were to have 4 rings, multiple championship MVPS, how they would be featured, pimped and celebrated. When talking about the best players in the league at least 5-10 names roll off the tongue before getting to Duncan.

As for his whining, he doesn't get the "star treatment" from the officials that he has earned that other far less established stars do get.

Remember when defenders were looking at Wade and getting called for fouls.

For me he's easily one of the best I've ever seen. We're witnessing greatness with him and Garnett. Throw in the rapist, LeBron, Shaq, Wade, Nowitzki and when it's all said and done Mr. Paul you will feel fortunate to be watching the NBA with all these great players.

All this means is the correct label would be under-pimped

Being featured, pimped and celebrated is not a players rating. Where people percieve him among greatest NBA players of this generation and all-time is how he is rated. If everyone agrees he is one of the 10 best ever, with a few claiming top five, that is not being underrated

They're alot of studs in the league right now - but Kobe, TD and Shaq's careers are in different class than the others - I would imagine that only Lebron could get to their level - those three are top 15 players - if not top 10 - of all time.

He's just too quiet for the NBA to be pimped like a star. He's not flashy enough for Stern nor does he have flashy dunks or talk trash. He just puts up 20-10 day in and day out and that's not good enough for the hip hop nation that is the NBA.

But I think at the end of his career you'll mention Chris Paul in the same sentence as the greatest point guards ever. His performance tonight just goes to show what kind of player he is.

He certainly looks like he's going to be great - I can't fathom him not getting the MVP - the Hornets - yes, the Hornets finished second in the West and were 1 game out of first - I don't need to hear anything else.

Duncan is arguably the best basketball player of all time not withstanding Jordan - but that's only if you consider winning a priority.

if that is your criteria, its bill russell and everyone else.

21-0 in winner take all games.
