Would you hedge this bracket, and if so, how?

After thinking about the above, this wouldn't cover a Kentucky over Kansas final, so it wouldn't make as much sense.

I don't have the actual points you're behind or know if it's standard scoring, but from what you posted your worst final standing doesn't make sense... Wouldn't you finish 2nd if OSU beat Kentucky?... you say OSU beating kansas would give you enough points to win it, so if OSU wins you pass the guy in 1st now and finish ahead of him, if you are ahead or even with the guy who has louisville you'd beat him with the points from Kentucky winning so you'd at worst finish 2nd? Same scenario if Louisville beats OSU, you pass the guy ahead of you with OSU win over kansas, maintain position on guy who has OSU over Kentucky? IF Kentucky beats Kansas you dont beat guy in first, but can't lose position to guy in 3rd or guy in 4th???? There are 8 final outcomes and at least 3 of them have you finishing 2nd if you are within enough points to pass the leader with a OSU win and ahead or tied with the other 2 guys....

320 points per round. 10 each round 1, 20 each round 2, 40, 80, etc.

The reason I would lose if OSU wins over UK in the finals is because a couple people below me have OSU winning and that would be enough to overtake me. If Louisville win I'm f'ed cause 3rd has L'ville taking it all over OSU and there is an OSU over L'Ville that would overtake me. Trust me, I have worked the scenarios. Everyone ranked 1-8 or so has a legit chance, but I feel mine is the best because I have all favorites.

i think timing of the games is on your side. assuming you have a book that offers live betting, let the kentucky game ride. if its still tight late in the 2nd half put something on louisville, but if kentucky is winning you save your self some of the overall payout. this way if kentucky wins and your save the hedge, youve esentially turned it into a 3 way hedge to a 2 way hedge. less moving pieces and more money saved for overall payout is always a good thing

Okay I was only going by the top 4 standings you posted so there are others in contention also...

You didn't mention where you would place if one of your teams won this Saturday while the other lost. Would you still be in the Money list ? Also try to figure out if both favorites should win, How big of a favorite will Kentucky be ? I think Kentucky -41/2. Any thoughts ? It does make a big difference as the Math counts in your case.

Kentucky -5' vs OSU, Kentucky -6 vs Kansas IMO.

Brackets aside, I would be all over OSU getting that many points if that were in fact the line. Would like UK laying the 6 vs Kansas. JMO

Starting to lean this way myself...

I'm 4-0 wagering on Kentucky so far in this Tournament. I took the + 27 points wagering against them when they won by only 25. Their last 3 games were easy covers. They played on New Years weekend and the line I believe was Kentucky - 8. with 10 seconds to go, Kentucky had a 12 point lead. Louisville hit a 3.. stole the inbounds pass and hit another 3 for a stunning cover by Louisville. I wouldn't be stunned if Kentucky covers this spread as they are on a roll and loaded. Sometimes you just have to let it happen. If somehow Louisville shows up and beats this talented Kentucky team... so be it ! Sh-t happens but I wouldn't throw away my $$ on that happening.

Took 300 Lville +8'

so far...

Don't like the idea of a sure loss either way, so I think I'm better off to take the points...at least for this game.

I think that's a very smart move. If Pitino has his way, I'm thinking this is going to be an ugly low scoring game. I don't think that Louisville will win, but they very well could cover.

Lucky cover with l'ville.

Ended up putting that 300 on OSU ML. So I did an anti-hedge apparently. I just really think OSU wins this game.

I don't think that would be worth it unless you want a small profit. My guess is that Kentucky will be somewhere in the -200+ range on the money line, so you'd have to pay a ton of juice.
